perhaps seunggi is being too invasive. itās not like he had never knocked on the apartment door before ā in fact, heād had done it so many times that heād lost count. granted, those knocks were sprung for a completely different, aggravating reason. but they still counted, no? thatās at least what he tells himself as he stands in front of the otherās door, a plastic bag and small all-too-cheesy flowers in hand. he wouldāve never thought about doing this weeks ago, especially this late at night after work, but when he had passed them in the lobby earlier that morning, they seemed almost too out of it to recognize. surely it wasnāt entirely his responsibility or place to see if they were alright; he was merely the irritable guy next door after all. but after putting two and two together (a.k.a. the noise precisely cut in halfĀ from what he was used to from their apartment), a random act of kindness might cheer them up a little. he lets a few minutes of pure silence go by before heās following up with a few more knocks,Ā āhello? is anyone home? i, uh ā i brought some desserts from the new place down the street if youād like to try them.ā totally makes him sound like a wannabe girl scout, but itās the thought that counts.
