Out of 25 years I have been living, this is the first time I have ever burned the rice cooker inner pot. I repeat, rice cooker inner pot.
So my family way of making rice is by cooking it on top of fire until it is almost done, then transfer it into rice cooker. Mind you this is all using the same pot. But this morning I forgot I was making one and leaving the pot unattended on top of high heat. Smoke filled our kitchen by the time I turned down the heat. Thank goodness nothing caught on fire at all, just the rice is a mess of charcoal. The thing is… my parent is away, and would be home by evening. And of all 25 years, and the 3 days my parents are away for once, does the universe choose to make me burn that goddamn pot. And to make it all worse, there is no available rice cooker inner pot on sale within my town reach. Im dead . So dead

Its amusing to see everyone’s reaction each and every time I explained that these bruises I got was from my cat’s failed attempt to bite me.
