Lucky are the kids who can travel in their youths. 

After a @p_o_p_culture/@blackstargrove lesson, he walked up to me and presented this with a smile. I didn't smile back but instead asked, "Should you be drawing while I'm leading a session?" His smile melted as a "No," murmured from his lips. I then asked, "Isn't application proof of learning? Meaning if you known it, show it?" His glassy eyes fixated on mine as he nodded yes. I left a deliberate pause then hugged him as I asked if it was me in the drawing and complimented him on it while calling his classmates over to share in the dopeness. I then repeated that drawing in class isn't the way but I did what I always told myself I would do as a father. I A- spotted a gift and B- provided space to build on it and cultivate it into a skill.
