Letās take a small break to acknowledgeĀ this comicās roots: I made this when I was around 14 years old in 2012. It was one of the first times I ever tried using Ignitous Characters in a comic format. Up until this point, Penny and Amber (who we currently know as āAmitaā) had only ever had violent interactions, but since Pennyās little sibling is Amberās closest friend, I thought it would be fun to explore how theyād interact when forced to work together.
I was working on the second page when I realized I totally ship it. So it progressively became gayer and gayer, until Amber became a literal flaming lesbian and their ship started literally sailing. It was at that point that I first realized I might not be completely straight. Thatās right, this comic was so gay it made me realize I was in an invisible closet the entire goddamn time.
And here I am today, a pansexual woman with an entire collection of characters that are DEFINITELY not straight. Iām so proud.
