A shuriken twirled idly in his hand as he spoke, the crime lord appearing nonchalant as he always was. "If you would rather not lose any more expendables, you can kindly tell your men that the Shimada has no business with your organization, nor do I have much patience left to spare."

Genji wasn't as ignorant as he may seem. He knew of Talon and the gist of their ideology. He couldn't care less about other petty details, but would certainly make it clear that he would not take kindly to being assaulted or manipulated in any form.

"Unless..." He looked her over, sizing her up. This... was new. Unexpected. Unlike the common soldiers who found their way into his territory, she gave off the aura of a leader - powerful and commanding. He won't lie, it piqued his interest.

     normally, he has this place to himself.

     the overlook wasn’t particularly hidden away, but it was a little more off the beaten path than your average cadet was willing to walk, especially for something simple as a smoke. commander morrison was strict about a 30 foot distance from all doors and munitions storage, but most simply plopped themselves just off the sidewalk far enough away that they wouldn’t get pestered if he happened to walk by.

     so when the doctor storms over, muttering under her breath in those fancy words he ain’t ever heard nor understood, he’s almost too taken aback to speak. there’s what he can only presume to be a rather vulgar curse as she realizes she forgot her cigarettes, which finally prompts him to push off of the wall he was leaning on, a hand digging in his pockets for his pack to offer her.
