first i bought 1989 and fell in love with taylor swift then one of my absolute faves followed me (marissa thats u) and then i made these rly cute mind map things that were totally colour coordinated for studying and then i put a rly rly cute gradient on my blog and then to top it all off one of my other absolute faves followed me (this is u kelsey) and im just rly happy

YES. UMF. And it was different from the book but it wasn't one of those times where I sat there internally pointing out the differences. It was, as a whole, a good and separate concept and I think the intention to keep it close but not the same as the book made it as good as it is.

I KNOW. I was so impressed. It always turns out well when the author is closely involved in the making of the movies. Like Stephen Chbosky directed Perks and it was the best movie adaptation of a book I have ever seen. I hope more authors get behind making their movies because its always better that way. (I was also really happy with the message they gave about consent with the scene in Tris' fear landscape.)
