1) What is your favourite scent?
Books, vanilla perfumes, new shoes, wintergreen tic-tacs- and also Elizabeth Taylor 'White Diamond' perfume, because both my grandmother and my mother wore it. (...I have a lot okay.)
2) Tell me a story about you as a child.
So when I was about 4 years old, I had those bedazzler things for putting rhinestones on jackets (who the hell got me one of those at 4?? Idek anyway) and two of my friends were over and the girl (who was rude and lied and I just didn't like her) dared me to put a star shaped bead up my nose. I had a huge crush on Randy (the boy who was there) so of course I couldn't back down from a dare and I shoved the bead up my nose - and then couldn't get it out. I tried to use a toothpick to do so (also, how the hell did I get the toothpicks? I know my dad kept them in the highest cupboard, but whatever) and only succeeded in making my nose bleed - and then I took a really deep breath and sucked the bead down my nasal passage and into my esophagus . I then, finally, ran to my mom, crying, and told her "MOM, sdjdh BEAD AND THEN, AND THEN IT FELL UP MY NOSE." To which my mom stared at me for a few moments, and then screeched "WERE YOU STANDING ON YOUR HEAD?!" I had to get X-Rays to make sure I hadn't sucked it into my lungs.
3) Your friends are planning on breaking into an abandoned (and possibly haunted) house. Would you go? Why or why not?
I would! However, I believe in haunting and ghosts, so I wouldn't be too happy about being there and I would most likely be creeped out and jumpy the entire time. Also, I would probably be the person muttering about how not smart the whole idea was "breaking and entering" blah blah, etc.
4) What would constitute as a perfect day for you?
Alright, though as days go I suppose it can be considered fairly normal. Getting up early with Bryan and taking Blayre somewhere special, having a nice breakfast, singing along with Disney soundtracks in the car, seeing the happiness on Blayre's face and just being able to go elsewhere with my family.
5) What is your most favourite item in your closet?
Hmmm - so, as in something that I love the most, or something that I actually WEAR the most? XD Well, something I wear often is my black cable-knit beanie - but my actual favorite would most likely be my wedding dress (which I wear at least once a year for FaerieWorlds <3)
6) If you could dye your hair any colour, what would it be? If your hair is already dyed, what is it and what colour would you want to dye it next, if any?
Currently, my hair is dyed "Ruby Rush" - a fancy name for an Ariel shade of red. The next time I dye my hair it'll be the same, but then I'll also be adding Autumn tones to it (orange and yellow).
7) Tell me a random piece of trivia you know!
...Oh, I know something! Okay, the baby boy in the movie Labyrinth (with David Bowie) is the son of Brian and Wendy Froud - Brian designed many of the goblins and puppets used (and he does lovely faerie and goblin art), while his wife was the one to actually make the puppets.
8) If you could, would you rather live in some period in the past than in the present? Why or why not? If yes, which period?
Visiting maybe, though I don't know about living. Regardless, ancient Greece would be my place of choice if I could say yes. Why wouldn't I want to live in the past? Many of them are health-related. =S
9) Youāre at home and itās pouring outside. Which song would you play?
Neptune by SJ Tucker - she is my comfort musician, though I'll happily listen to her band Tricky Pixie too.Ā
10) What are some things you want to accomplish this year?
I would love to finish planning out the first arc of my future comic (graphic novel? I don't know - my character designs are so friggin complex that I wonder if I shouldn't write the story and have accompanying art), Birch and Bone. Going to the gym (hrrrnnngg) and getting back in shape. I don't care about losing weight, I just know that I've been a lump and I need to be more active.
11) Who is one of your role models? Fictional characters are welcome.
It would actually be my paternal grandmother, Mary. She had a horrible childhood, lost two children, has a husband who has had various mental health issues his entire life, and both of her sons were/are alcoholic and have drug addictions - regardless of what life dealt her, she always treats people with respect and sometimes too much kindness. She never refuses to help people who need it and would bankrupt herself before she let anyone she cares about go hungry. I loved my mother, so very much, but my grandmother is the person who made me who I am, and I'm so thankful for that.
