“Thine Imagination is much more forefront,” continues he, and beams in white, handsome teeth. “As art all Fae-touched. Thou art blessed in most antiquities!”

The hesitant reach for his hand is not unknown to Roland. To parry it, like a kind Jester doth his take Sarah’s palm within the both of his own, and to hold it warmly, as a consistent care-taker of the softest Chords of the Heart.

“I am real, Sarah,” says he gently. “And I am always Here, and There, too.”

“I beg thy pardon,” says Roland. “’Twere a messenger, for me, of the berries and new shoots of roots in places where I cannot go, as I am broad-shoulder’d and two-legged.”

And Roland’s face doth borne confused, as he Knows and knows her, and reminds her, quite gently: “Thou hast seen stranger things in thine life, Sarah. Truly in the dreaming Wake.”
