✕ how do they handle rejection?pretty damn poorly. with most people clementine’s used to using her beauty and her extreme niceness to slowly ease them into accepting whatever it is she’s proposing. and also her telepathy is occasionally helpful in giving her a way to target people’s doubts and concerns. still, it doesn’t always go in her favor and... clementine holds a grudge. she’ll probably just smile and say thank you and walk away but in her head you are ten steps beyond the grave.

rory had wished for a dog ever since she could think, wanting to have a companion aside from her parents and while they usually weren’t able to really resist her they put off getting her a dog for a very long time. finally when she turned seven they had given in and they went to the shelter that same day where rory adopted the cutest little puppy she could find. that day rory had been as happy as never before in her entire life. she thought about how to name him for quite a while and the dog finally ended up being called “george” for some reason. rory loved george dearly and she took very good care of him from that day on, that is until she had to leave a year later, to join the experiments. that day she left behind not only her parents but also george who had become her best friend.
