There comes a point in life where winning an argument just doesn’t feel as important anymore.

When you’re younger, it’s easy to spend energy trying to explain yourself, defend your choices, or make sure people understand your side of things. You want the last word. You want to prove you were right. But over time, life teaches you something quieter and far more valuable… not every battle deserves your peace.

Some people will misunderstand you no matter how clearly you speak. Some situations will drain you simply because you keep trying to force resolution where there was never going to be understanding in the first place. And eventually, you realize how exhausting it is carrying tension that changes nothing.

I remember someone once telling me, “Protect your peace the same way you protect your home.” At the time, it sounded simple. But the older I’ve gotten, the more those words make sense. Peace of mind affects everything, your sleep, your health, your relationships, even the way you walk through everyday life.

Now, there are moments where silence feels stronger than explaining. Walking away feels wiser than reacting. Letting people think whatever they want becomes easier than constantly trying to correct every opinion or defend every choice.

Fave music video is probably Peacefield, mostly bc it's currently my favorite song overall.

Song I'd like to see live has a couple answers. Ghuleh/Zombie Queen bc I wasn't a fan when it was on the setlist. But as for songs that haven't ever been done live, Excelsis bc I can clearly imagine how certain parts would happen.
