We finished the Minova Water Filter & Training Project - Democratic Republic of the Congo. 35 women completed a 6-day training course to learn to construct biosand filters and develop business opportunities to build, market, and maintain these products. We started the Pap Onditi Pump Restoration Project in #Kenya under the direction of Returned Peace Corps Volunteer #RPCV Dave Rowson.  The pump will bring safe water to 300 people. http://watercharity.com/pap-onditi-pump-restoration-project-kenya

We started the Medina Yoro Foulah and Niaming Latrine Project in Senegal under the direction of Peace Corps Volunteers Laura d’Elsa and Abigail Pershing.  The project is to rebuild 13 latrines and construct 16 new latrines, providing adequate sanitation facilities for 1,532 people. http://watercharity.com/medina-yoro-foulah-and-niaming-latrine-project-senegal

 

We finished the Kiritiri Water Tank Project in #Kenya.  The project resulted in the training of 30 people in ISSB brickmaking technology and small business administration, and produced 10 water tanks as part of the project. We finished the Call to Nature Permaculture Tree Planting Project in Ghana.  The entire community was engaged in this effort, resulting in the planting of 20,000 trees.  The trees help to combat climate change, provide clean air and oxygen, prevent water pollution and soil erosion, and provide food and medicinal remedies. http://watercharity.com/conclusion-call-nature-permaculture-tree-planting-project-ghana
