So I have been MIA for quite some time so I thought I’d write you guys a little OOTD post. According to my suburban friend this is a “thug” outfit and I don't really know how but, whatever. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I have been loving street style and mixing preppy pieces with a little edge. I wore some riding boots with a black T-shirt and a flannel. Since it was cold in the morning when I was getting ready for class I put a grey zip up under my flannel. My best kept secret in college is wearing a hat when I’m too lazy to wake up early and shower before class hence, the baseball hat.

I’m gonna try to stay more on top of writing blog posts but, for now here’s a quick OOTD.

On January 30th, I will be turning 19. After watching this video I felt inspired to share some words of wisdom that I learned this past year as well. So here are my 18 things I learned at 18:

1. Do what you love

2. You will find love when you least expect it

3. Be ambitious

4. Everything is a learning experience 

5. Never underestimate yourself

6. Everything is temporary

7. Speak up, because people don’t know what you’re thinking

8. Always challenge yourself

9. Make sure to give yourself “me time”

10. It’s okay to feel lost or confused

11. Be straight forward

12. Stick to your beliefs

13. Good friends will always be there for you, even if you haven’t talked in weeks

14. Appreciate your family, specifically your parents (they gave you life after all)

15. It’s okay to keep some things to yourself, you don’t always need to post what you’re doing on social media 

16.  Your style is your first impression, so always dress to impress

17. Network and be social, the more people you know the better

18. Don’t hesitate to take opportunities that are given to you

I hope this gave you guys some insight and learn from my experiences.

If you’re reading this (it’s too late (pun intended) ) I have made this blog for my friends, family, followers, and myself kind of as a public diary. My journey started about 2 years ago when my best friend blogged for Nordstrom BP. and the following year I became the blogger for Nordstrom BP. I loved fashion and lifestyle blogging for Nordstrom so much that I revamped my personal blog.

Sadly as of right now I’m super busy getting things together for class but, on the bright side I do have content for you guys. I have connected my instagram so all of my OOTDs will show up here as well as my instagram: bella__mercado.

I will also be making posts exclusively for this blog and collaborating with friends on photoshoots and video ideas!
