The continuous noise of driving cars echoed behind you as you fit the key in the lock and twisted it open, swinging the door as quietly as possible. On the night of Valentine’s day, you had decided to do something completely different. It never occurred that you visited your boyfriend, Chanyeol, in his studio at such a late hour of the night and thus you had figured out that would be the perfect opportunity to surprise him with his favorite coffee drink and a box of caramel chocolates that he oh so loved.

Just as smoothly, you closed the door behind you with a little thud, removing your shoes so that you could prevent any possible noise. Walking on your tippy-toes you soon reached the door to his studio- which as always was swung open, a dim light casting on the ground from it and you had to peek from the wall to see Chanyeol. He was wearing a pair of massive headphones, for the best quality, you imagined. His eyes were pinned to the big screen as he skillfully pressed his long fingers along the keyboard, creating what you could guess were beautiful sounds, knowing it was Chanyeol it was about, the boy had a talent with no limit. 

Knowing there was no chance of him hearing you, you finally made your way behind him, a playful grin starting to form on your lips as you wondered which kind of hug would be best. You knew you had chosen right when a girly scream erupted from his throat as you suddenly threw your arms around his broad shoulders, hugging him tightly from the back, laughs bubbling in your throat at his hilarious reaction. Even when the commotion had died down, you didn’t let go and nuzzled your face into the soft fabric of his pastel-pink hoodie, inhaling the sweet scent of aftershave.  “Hey,” you murmured almost incomprehensibly with your face squished against his body.

Chanyeol was still heaving loud breaths as he spoke;

“What the heck?” He whined at the scare you pulled him through, though you could hear in his voice that he didn’t mind having you there.  You only giggled, not showing a single bit of guiltiness, which only had him shake his head yet still sporting a soft and affectionate smile on his plump, extremely pink lips.

“What brings you here so late, babe?” He comes, turning his chair to meet your gaze, a little did you blush when his eyes roamed your figure from head to toe before landing on your eyes again. Teeth drilled your lip to stop the face-splitting smile on your face but it was pretty futile when an angel was sitting right in front of you, his tall body trapped within the oversized hoody and his soft brown locks pointing into every direction, making him even more perfect.

“Happy Valentine’s day, Chanyeol,” You chastised, bending down to peck his lips- to which he eagerly responded, hands snaking into yours, fingertips running along with your palms and eventually threading through your fingers.

“ I brought you an Americano and chocolates, will you accept my love?” The tease in your words amused and endeared him greatly, his cheeks covered in a pink hue at your sweet gestures. Without hesitation, he pulled you gently by your hands that he was holding, leading you to sit onto his lap, his hands eventually moving from your hands to rest lazily on your hips. His thumbs drawing lazy circles all over.

“I’d be the happiest man alive to cherish your love,” Chanyeol murmured sweetly back, more sincerity than teasing in his words as his eyelids started hooding lazily upon his orbs the closer the leaned in, the urge to kiss you so strong. So he did. 

In the night of Valentine’s, he claimed your lips, claimed your heart and held it close to his own, so that nobody could ever hurt it.
