A mutual on Tumblr posted a link to a site called PCPartPicker with a list of the PC she wanted to build and was asking for any recommendations and I was like ? ??? There’s a site to build a PC part list AND be able to publicly share it ? ??? Anyways I went to build a monster PC but sadly they didn’t have my Motherboard that I wanna get in their part list, which sucks cause it’s such a great one for what it has :(

Today, I'm looking to price up a budget build for a friend. They have around £300 to spend and need just the PC tower. They already have a monitor keyboard and mouse, and will probably get a free Windows 10 install :-)
So I have priced options based around the AMD Ryzen 200GE And the Ryzen 2200G. The specs can be found here:
Ryzen 2200G https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/Cz47Bb Athlon 200GE https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/qvyMxG
Both systems are capable of low end gaming, with the 2200G being the stronger system, and possibly having the hassle of needing a BIOS update to recognise the APU. I could opt to spend more on a B450 motherboard that will work straight out of the box, but we are trying to adhere to a budget.
PC PartPicker is a great resource for building and pricing up a new PC or upgrade, and you can maybe save a few £££ by shopping around.
Let me know what you think of these two builds, or anything you would change to make it better.

£800 is a lot of money for a PC, but for a GAMING PC is doesn't stretch that far, so what items would you limit you budget on and what are your must have components?
I went with the following components (affiliate links) And this was around £825 at the time, but please do check the current pricing below if using Amazon or use the part finding methods at pcpartpicker

This takes me to just over the £800 budget, but with a few minor tweaks it can be easily reduced but this was my idea build scenario.
Optionally you could leave out the Arctic Freezer 34 and use that money to go for the Ryzen 3600x for a little more OC headroom and maybe ditch the mechanical drive? Or maybe a smaller SSD and keep the mechanical drive and use the extra to upgrade the CPU!!!!!!!
Too many options and ultimately it is for you to decide what you think is the best way to spend your money.
