What are PC Benchmarks and How do They Work?
Whenever you’ll buy a new PC or upgrade your graphics card, one term that will repeatedly come before you is ‘Benchmarks.’ A benchmark is a sequence designed to push the limits and see how far your PC could perform.
For CPUs, benchmarks are about the remaining task at hand and how rapidly it can perform well. Since there are endless activities a PC can complete, you’ll see that various CPUs perform more significantly at one job than others. Some may be better at running efficiency programming, while others exceed expectations at 3D rendering, etc.
There are standard benchmark suites to test CPUs, like PCMark 10, which runs your PC through a progression of tests. For instance, it tests how your PC handles functioning with spreadsheets, also other jobs like picture editing, video calls, computations for gaming, and browsing. Another well-known device to perceive how a CPU handles video delivery is CineBench.
CPU benchmarks can likewise include explicit tasks, for example, creating a compressed Zip file for a large folder.
For testing SSDs and hard drives, it boils down to how rapidly a drive can read and write information to the drive. This is generally performed with a benchmark program that conducts consecutive and irregular read-and-write tests.
Keeping context in mind is an essential thing while examining benchmarks. It includes a comparison of a CPU or a Graphics Card against another, a sequence of tests carried out, and the conditions under which they were performed.

Graphics Card Benchmarks
Gamers expect a graphic card that could hit 60 frames per second. The performance of these graphic cards is really good and flattening. A graphic card below that brings up issues like low-quality resolution, buffering, etc.
There are two considerations when it comes to a graphic card performance: Settings and Resolution. A graphic card doesn’t need to work at 4K resolution. However, it can perform exceptionally well at 1080p. Considering the resolution while looking for benchmarks can be challenging.
On the other hand, if we talk about graphics settings, the four presets for video games are Ultra, High, Medium, and Low. Manually changing the settings can be a complex process. Thus, the video games are based on the four preset settings by default, depending upon the capabilities of a system.
CPU and Storage Drive Benchmarks
Benchmark numbers for CPU are essential when compared to other CPUs. They have to perform all the time, including software usage, playing games, launching programs, etc. Whenever you consider looking for benchmark numbers, comparing a CPU with another comes naturally. Thus, if a CPU missed out on even a single activity, it doesn’t feel worth it.
The case is the same for the storage devices as well. Comparing the speed for read-write performance with other storage drives in the same review is important.
It is necessary to note that benchmarks are likely to use stock settings instead of overclocking. If you start overclocking, you can crush out more execution. In any case, the improvement differs depending on various variables.
It is advised to always have an objective or a plan to use your PC. It’ll help while deciding and introducing a new kit to your setup.

Game runs well, or not, it's weird so I had to change the LOD settings to fix it.
Subnautica PC Benchmarks using the Nvidia GT 750M
While this benchmark is a year late due to that I don't own it until Blizzard gave me a copy. Now I can benchmark it but only using it's very small FPS counter that may not be accurate.
Destiny 2 - PC Benchmarks Nvidia GT 750M
This is my newest Fortnite benchmarks since 2017 to see how much it has improved in terms stability and FPS but made it more intense by playing it 50 vs 50 instead of 1 v 1 fights.
