Lucas’ house pantry has been dwindling. Problematic when you have no money. By some dumb luck he’d caught word of a magnanimous provisions supplier, but in this sort of place, it seems too good to be true...

He takes a pack of gum off a shelf and idly tosses it in his hand.

“Hey, you staff here?”

He tests a nearby lady for an answer, though he’s not actually sure if she’s affiliated with this place. It’ll be awkward if she’s just some random person browsing like he is... but he goes on asking anyway.

With buildings finally stretching across the area Da Vinci’s boredom was finally replaced with curiosity as she started to explore her new surroundings. Curiosity that was quickly replaced with excitement as she spotted an antique shop, a perfect opportunity to find a temporary replacement for her missing staff.

As a bell jingled to signal her entrance she wasted no time browsing their selection of staffs, until a simple looking staff decorated with a blue jewel caught her eye. It did seem nice at first glance, but she would need the opinion of another before she considered it.

Turning to a blonde haired girl in the shop she waved at her to get her attention and pointed at the old-fashioned item. 

There’s a lot to this city-- a lot of nothing, a lot of destruction. It was difficult to tell from what exactly, had put this place into ruin. It could have been natural, it could have been war, but again it felt too much like home, and there wasn’t any place he wanted to see put to ruin like this.

It was easier to stay near the shores to the north of the city, where things were more quiet, where he could look out on the ocean and forget what ruins were just behind him. Burying his feet into ashy sand, he notices a stranger doing more or less the same.

Vampire…? Those aren’t real.
