In past few days I, my parents and a friend from church went to a small town Chiang Kham, Payao province in northern Thailand to start a new fellowship group.  We travelled there to meet a new believer with a passion for starting a small church at her grandmother's house. 

Our activities for the trip were cleaning up the house, worshiping and praying that God would bring peace and use us for transforming the atmosphere in the hearts of people in this town. Many people already heard the gospel of Christ and there must be harvesters to guide them the way.  

In this mission journey we had the chance to watch around spots in the town.  We observed that in this quiet place there were a variety of social hubs, schools, as well as a park where we could possibly hold our mini event.  

My dad drove a bit further from the town and there we found tourist attractions like national parks and waterfalls.  In one of the afternoons I had a cup of hot chocolate with my friend at a coffee shop nearby the hotel that we stayed.  It was a cosy place to chill out and read books.  Or maybe it could even be a place for the fellowship.  

Anything is possible.

I heard about people who organised Sunday services in coffee shops. When I lived in the UK I went to churches that serve coffee for free chitchat time.  Coffee has become the connector of conversations in every culture.
