hey guys! long time no see! i wrote a book, it's called THE VIRGIN CROWN, and you can buy it now!

1. is it real?

it is real. it was not specifically formulated as a killing stalking wine and was instead an existing wine in collaboration with a unique label and some goodies with delivery. i did not just take a bottle of wine and put a killing stalking sticker on it.

2. is it actually a 1958 wine?

it’s the founding of the company?? i do not actually know when it’s from.

3. was it expensive?

it was like ¥4000. i bought it two years ago or something so i don’t remember exactly

4. why did you buy it?

long answer: a friend was having a going away party and i thought it would be really funny to buy a killing stalking wine since we always listened to “sangwoo keeps the listener in the basement” ASMR videos on youtube to torture each other. sadly the wine delivery was delayed until after their departure and i ended up just having this wine until i decided to drink it last month

5. how did it taste?

gilbert cocteau cocktail to match my serge one! this is a spicy, strong cocktail to reflect not only gilbert’s outwardly cold yet wild nature, but also the struggles and abuse he’s endured throughout his life. the bombay sapphire has the image of beauty while still pricking your tongue with spice, while the chartreuse is an herbal liqueur to represent gilbert’s affinity for nature and his inability to truly fit in in the “outside world” because of the way he was raised.

at the bottom, however, is a simple, sweet blue curaçao. underneath all his complexities, gilbert is just a person who wants to be loved, and someone who was ultimately and untimely buried by everything that happened to him.

久しぶり！ i went back to the custom cocktail bar to get a masagoto cocktail and i am in love!

masayoshi is the four roses bourbon because it’s all about passion and love and kind of like... bracing at first? to represent how much masayoshi can be to deal with, while goto is the muscat liqueur at the bottom—which seems like it should have a predictable taste, but actually is a lot more complex than it seems at first brush!!

she said to drink it without mixing first, and then mix it to understand how goto and masayoshi complement one another and how while separately they can be more difficult flavors… even goto, being at the bottom of the glass means he is literally inaccessible without masayoshi’s love and influence! but the glass is shaped such that you can see goto there, metaphorically supporting masayoshi but also literally giving the bourbon something to mix with. 🥰 once they’re together, the sweetness comes out.

masayoshi is sort of the star of this cocktail in the way that he is the protagonist of the show, he has the strongest flavors and the most pronounced imagery, but goto is a quiet necessity! they need to be mixed to make a drinkable cocktail—they bring out the best in each other!

not about agnus dei, but i went to the custom cocktail bar (socially distanced and sanitized of course!) and i got this beautiful serge-themed cocktail!

it’s hard to explain everything that went into it but it was REMARKABLY detailed. basically the colors are green and brown to represent serge as the “tree” in “song of the wind and the trees,” but also green for his youthful naivety and brown to represent how much of an influence his mother has had on his life. the passionfruit is both “holy love” and “suffering” for his relationship with gilbert, while the vodka on top is representative of serge’s forward, stubborn nature!
