This mural rests at the corner of Date Street & Glebe Road in Adamstown. It was painted last year with a Newcastle City Council ‘Pride of Place’ grant, designed by Jessica Coughlan and painted by Elizar Mytka.

In the middle of Civic Park in Newcastle's CBD rests a memorial fountain to Captain James Cook.
As part of the 1233 Artalogue, 1233's Paul Bevan caught up with James Collis, former curator of Public Art for the City of Newcastle, to find out about the fountain's origins and its place in Newcastle.
