Project Around The World: Rouen part one
Papyrus was tired but really happy ! After visiting Paris, he and his companions were going to visit Rouen. The town was one hour away from Paris and reputed to be cloudy, cold and rainy. But it seemed like they were lucky, today was sunny and bright even though it was so cold. Papyrus couldn’t help but notice that people are friendlier and less stressed out than in Paris. That must be due to the fact that they were less pressed by time here. Suddenly, he cried out: “FRIENDS!!! Have you noticed that this building was not built straight ? Let’s take a photo of it!”

Project Around The World: Rouen part 2
Papyrus had never been more excited than he was right now. Rouen was a beautiful town and with his friends being here, it was delightful. They still didn’t have an explanation about the strange Pise Tower like buildings but they had been explained that it was typical of the town.
It had now been two days since their arrival (which had been celebrated, mind you, he was, after all, very renowned now as the mascot of monsters) and he already noticed many differences compared to Monsters’ society back in America. And food was one of the most visible aspect.
The first was bread and cakes: here, making bread was considered an art (or that’s the impression he got… He could be wrong. But he was the Great Papyrus and he’d like to think he’s right) and more crispy than in America. Moreover, the cakes had a noticable lack of cream which he found preferable and frankly was more used to. He only had access to the cinnabuns and a few other treats and there never was that much cream in them. Monsters never really had access to bread so seeing so many variations of it was astounding to him.
The second was the cheese. French people had an incredible variety of it and you could be sure to find one type of cheese you would like! Except, of course, if you were intolerant to milk… But still!!! Amazing !
Finally, there were many typical plates who he thinks clearly deserve their own section in their adventure!
Project Around The World: Paris Part One
Before coming to Rouen, Papyrus had briefly been to Paris. Barely the time to visit and no time to really meet any human (out of the diplomats that had come greet the first monsters in the country and the media) and discover the town (he secretly hopes they would visit and have more time here later).
He had had the time to visit the Eiffel Tower: which he learned wasn’t supposed to become a permanent monument. And he saw the Champs Elysées… Which had an adorable french song about it!
Something he found particularly impressive was the subway. It was the most elaborated in the country and went everywhere into town. Though for future reference, Papyrus noted that in order to change of way of transport (from bus to subway for exemple …) you would need a new ticket. But you could stay however long you wanted in the subway.
