Virgil was a 19 year old cat hybrid that had been captured and been put in a hybrid adoption center. He had been adopted a couple of times but always returned quickly due to his temperament. The center was currently having an adoption event so they were letting the hybrids free roam in different rooms for potential adopters to spend time with them. While all the other cat hybrids in the room were trying to get the attention of every person who came in the room Virgil was curled up on a chair in the corner of the room, his knees to his chest and his fluffy black tail around his ankles as he glared at anyone that even looked at him for too long.

Too bad the poor moral compass couldn’t take the time to enjoy such a wonder, as he was running for his life through the forest, being chased- no, stalked, by a very sadistic naga.

He quietly knocked on the side's door, holding a couple of light, fantasy based romantic comedies in one hand and a plate of cookies in the other.

Virgil knew it was a bad idea to stay and fight the pro-hero that had caught him fighting another low level villain. He was already close to the limit with his quirk before trying to fight the fire based hero Heartburn. He ended up having to flee the fight after the hero got a good hit on him, causing control of his quirk to slip and his strength to leave as the panic he was projecting surged back to him double what he was projecting. He knew he was too far away from his own apartment to make it before he passed out either from his injuries or from the panic, so he started the walk through alleyways and backstreets to his best friends apartment, putting the parts of his villain costume in the bag he carried with him until he was just in a slightly charred long sleeved shirt and ripped jeans. He climbed up the fire escape to his friends apartment balcony to avoid any people in the building. It had taken him about an hour to do what would normally be a 20 minute walk so he simply thudded his forehead against the balcony door as he tried to control his breathing, hoping his friend was home and had heard the thud as his panic started surging more.

Cato woke about an hour before sunset, as he often did. However, while he was awake, he did not move for fear of waking his peacefully slumbering lover. He rested his head on Patton's bear chest, listening to the peaceful sound of his breathing and feeling the gentle rise and fall of his chest. He wanted to preserve this moment of calm. Once they both got up, it would be broken. They would be on the run again. Not enjoying each other's company in a serene calm, but in a frantic chase as they fled the man who had held the two captive, as pets or toys. So Cato let the peace stay, if only for a moment.
