i’ve been talking about struggle and sorrows and healing lately on here, it's come naturally and seems to coincide with feeling a whole lot better and more comfortable in the world. when i’m in a painful or difficult place i’m private about it but the slow emerge from a three year dark night of the soul is making me want to open up more. a lot of crappy stuff has happened lately (my beloved cat dropped his furry form and took that precious energy elsewhere, a fortnight later i lost a friend who was very special to me, very recent stuff) but all that staring at water, all the pushing through and working despite a chest full of teaching pain, love from unexpected places, friends and people on here has helped me walk through the darkest bits and come out tousled but stronger and more connected. it’s strange but totally empowering to feel grateful for having your heart repeatedly broken. i’m so glad and a tiny little bit proud that i’ve managed to stay in vulnerable love and awe of nature/art/magic/humans rather than go the cynical route. it was a close call for a minute. anyway, i wouldn’t want to share my work and the light aspects of my life here without a balance of dark, because it would be dishonest and would also make me part of a tendency towards social media being a popularity contest rather than a community. i’m steadily losing followers actually but that’s for the best — i prefer to engage with a genuinely interested audience and encourage you to unfollow if you feel that it’s right. (when i say losing followers is for the best i am being honest but that goes for me personally. for my business and livelihood it’s actually a bit of a disaster so conversely if you know people who may vibe with my work please do send them my way). . . this dress is one of a kind from raintower ‘lost lands’ collection, just listed and available via etsy, beads are @wildthorne . that’s hibiscus tea by the way, i love it for it’s tanginess and pretty colour but can’t drink it by the gallon like earl grey. fam @lilyothevalley.se & @liselotte_eriksson worries when they see me with a small teacup so i thought best to explain. #hibiscustea #reflections #patterneddress
