So I originally bought 2 skeins of this pale sparkly rainbow yarn to make a shawl for my wedding. I couldn’t really find anything that went with my dress so I set it aside.
A few months later I picked out a different shawl pattern and did quite a bit before becoming unsatisfied.
It's been sitting in my house for almost a year haunting me as a UFO. The pattern details just get completely lost with the variegated color. So I decided it was time to find a new pattern and frog. Which is surprisingly hard because I got it in my head I wanted more of a bolero or lacy cardigan instead of a shawl and don't quite have enough yarn. I eventually find this beauty on Pintrest and fall in love.
It's absolutely perfect! Stunning lace, wonderful details....except the pattern is in Chinese. Fortunately it has charts so I can actually understand it.
It's really incredible how art, and even art instructions, can transcend languages. So here's to me learning some Chinese to banish a UFO from my house!
