Hi, my little stars! As promised (after many forgetful nights and writers block up my ASS-) This is the re-written version of my original story (written soooo long ago-) 'We're all a little bit crazy'
It's a My Hero Academia x reader fanfiction, from the perspective of Izuku Midoriya, a recently licensed psychiatrist, who recently got a position at U.A Mental Asylum. A home for people that the world had given up on. Can Izuku give these people purpose through his job? Can he maintain his composure after stories tough enough to rip his heart out? What happens when they show an interest in him...
As always, feedback is appreciated, I tried to do more research this time to update the story, but then I remembered it's a fictional universe and it's my story.. essentially- I do what i want.

U.A the most well known mental asylum in all of Japan and maybe even the world.
It was very commonly used as a last resort for lost souls who had no hope in returning to a normal life.
They were sent there because loved ones had given up on them. Society had given up on them.
While mental asylums have held their fair share of patients all over the globe, U.A has held some of the scariest and most dangerous patients the world has ever seen.
It was maintained and run by one singular woman at the time,
Camie Utushimi.
Miss. Utushimi (as her patients knew her) had a pretty horrible reputation for being mean and using backwards, outdated treatments for the patients in the building..
Izuku Midoryia noticed it almost immediately, when he walked into the giant building..
The walls of the building were breaking and rotting, old wallpaper pealing off here and there.
The floorboards were creaky and groaned in protest under Izuku’s weight.
The entirety of the first floor smells like rotting wood, and black mold.
It caused Izuku's stomach to lurch as soon as he tried to take his first deep breath.
With his head held high, Izuku made his way to the front desk, eyeing the three receptionists, the first one, directly in the middle, had long black hair tied up in a low bun, everything on her person placed perfectly, she looked stern, and strict, she had a nametag with ‘Yaoyorozu’ on it.
The receptionist on her left had long green hair, wide eyes as if searching for everything, everywhere, but a small quirk on the corner of her mouth gave away that she was more then her appearance.
She adorned a nametag that said ‘Asui’ And finally the final receptionist on the opposite side of Yaoyorozu, another woman with bright pink cheeks, and short brown hair, cut into a neat bob, she had a single bobby pin in her hair that kept her bangs from falling forward.
Her soft smile gave away her sugar sweet personality, and she adorned a nametag that said ‘Uraraka’
Izuku stepped up to the receptionist's desk and smiled softly, introducing himself, hoping to make a good impression.
“Hello, my name is Izuku Midoriya-” He started to speak before the brunette ‘Uraraka’ cut him off cheerfully
“Ah! Midoriya, the new Psychiatrist for the fifth floor, yes?” She tilted her head, already standing up to grab a group of folders from the shelf, walking around the side of the desk smiling.
He was a little taken aback by her cheery demeanor.
He figured she’d be positive, but he didn’t expect her to be this bubbly.. Shouldn’t she be at least a little more grumpy?
He opted not to dwell on that idea for too long, it was his first day on the job and he had other things to worry about.
He did make a vow in his car on the way here, that he would do everything he could to make sure his patients feld loved, and safe,
Midoriya nodded nervously and offered a softer smile in comparison to the bright one she wore on her own lips.
“Yes ma’am, that’s me.” She nodded and tilted her head offering another sugar-coated smile
“Wonderful, I’m Ochako Uraraka, and if you follow me right over here, I can get you on up to the fifth floor.”
She didn’t wait for a response as she handed over the stack of files, and walked to the elevator.
“Please, that’d be great.” Izuku replied and followed her, mindlessly opening the first file, on the top of the stack.
He was met with the image of a man with half red and half white hair, a sad expression on his face as he seemed to look off behind the camera, and next to it, a list of his information..
He felt absolutely horrible for this Shouto Todoroki.
Both parents were cold, cruel, and uncaring to him, and he lost all of his siblings too.. Uraraka led him out of the elevator and towards Shouto Todoroki’s room.
Izuku didn’t remember getting into the elevator but he made it out alive, so it didn’t seem like too bad of a trip.
When he looked up he noticed the worn metal of the door, that had dents of all sizes and some hinges obviously newer than the door itself, due to the contrasting differences between the color of them.
Beside the door was a hand scanner, as well as a passcode. Uraraka tilted her head with a small smile, beginning to answer the floating questions in Izuku’s mind.
“The scanner should already have your fingerprints because, if I remember right, when you came in initially and visited Miss. Utushimi, she had already done the hand recognition evaluation. Your passcode is the same one you used to enter the building, and your timer.” She smiled softly and handed him a small stopwatch.
“Now normally you would have about sixty to ninety minutes with each patient, but because you are just introducing yourself I see no reason for it to be longer than thirty minutes. But it’s completely up to you. You read the file, so I think you should be good to go.”
She trailed off for just a moment before her eyes widened. “And in case of emergency every room has a red trigger under a hard plastic cage that is shut by a key, you have the key,”
Midoriya felt like his head was going to implode, there was so much information being shoved at him.
He managed to catch it all in the moment. But if he needed to remember it later, he wasn’t entirely sure he could.
He nodded in reply to Uraraka anyways, placing his hand over the scanner, it analyzed his hand for a few seconds before lighting green, the big bulky metal door unlocked to reveal a smaller less protected door.
Izuku took a deep breath, started his timer and turned the knob, walking in.
