The computer screens flickered as they were immediately put on backup power. A soft red glow illuminated the cramped office space, fading in and out as the wails of the emergency alert blared throughout the lab. Eins eyes shifted upwards at the commotion of the cracks of thunder, shuddering foundation, and cries of injured Pokemon, before taking his focus back to the bright screen of the monitor in front of him.

The boy was closing in much quicker than he anticipated. Even considering the hole blasted into wall as an advantage, it didn’t seem to slow his pace in the slightest-- of course Ein had Venus to blame for that. He couldn’t be more than thrilled to explain that to Nascour once he had dealt with the child--perhaps then he would finally pull his head out of his ass and consider hiring a more efficient group.
But it was too late now.
Once he had disposed of the child, Cipher was on their own. He was no longer going to associate his grandfathers- no- his project with a clown fest guaranteed for failure.

He tugged gently at his upper lip, eyes in deep ponder. Out of all the reports he had gotten so far, twenty-six shadow pokemon had been snagged. Six shadow pokemon were in the lab, but considering the boys catch rate and considering all previous admins weren’t able to stop him, the peons wouldn’t stand a chance.

Two of those Pokemon were legendaries. Damn those two, damn those two insufficient wastes of space, and damn him for bending to Evice’s will and being foolish enough to hand those legendaries to the other admins. He knew they couldn’t handle what he was giving him- He knew that.

Eins fingers shuffled at his belt, observing the pokeball in his tense grip. He still had a chance at this. He may had given the strongest Shadow Pokemon to Evice already, but he still had his pride, his trump card-- his Raikou. He knew how to play his cards- Even if the kid did bring the other two to use against him, one Rain Dance would render one useless and one Thunder should take the other out in one hit.

He’d been at this project for 24 long years.
He was not Miror B.
He was not Dakim. He was not Venus.
He was the true head of the Shadow Project, Nascour and Evice be damned.
Francis Stein be damned. He had won.
A flicker of the monitor caught Eins attention. The last of the data had been back into his personal external drive. All of Ciphers PCs had been completely wiped. Just one last thing to do…

There was no hesitance striking the Y key.
“Good.” He sighed under his breath. Within seconds the monitor collected dozen of error messages as the computer seemed to internally collapse on itself. He glanced down at the dozens of emptied discs scattered across his desk, “These discs have been scrubbed of all data.” He finally placed his hand on the PC tower, finger held firmly onto the power button until the bright LED glow of the monitor flickered off, sealing thousands upon thousands of dollars of equipment next to unsalvageable.
