We Meet Again * Reincarnation AU w/ pathifery
Levi sucked in a long breath before walking into the hospital doors. He barely had any sleep last night; he had three surgeries lined up and a mess of appointments. Being a brain surgeon had its perks-- he never ran out of work.
But that was also a con.
Since he did have a break before his surgeries started later this afternoon, he decided he may just try and powernap then, maybe snack on some peanuts and water for brain food-- no pun intended.
It was times like these, when he was backed up with work, when he had to ask himself why he got involved in his career anyway. He was a juvenile growing up, so no one expected him to enter medical school, recieve his degree and even suceed in his career choice. Just the art of medicine always fascinated him.
He went to the lounge first to get some coffee, then picked up a file from his secretary at the front desk. Two of his nurses were walking around his office as well, greeting him formally but never looking up from their paperwork. That was one thing he liked about his coworkers-- they were just as passionate, interested, and informed about their work as he was.
"Nurse, did you already talk to Ms. Kida?" The nurse nodded, smiling at him reassuringly, and he took that as a sign that the start of his day wouldn't be so bad. He entered the room marked on her file and shut the door behind him.
And froze.
As he lay eyes on her, something about the woman seeemed eerily familiar. He sucked in a breath, trying to figure it out, but nothing came to mind. "Ah, good morning, Ms. Kida," he tried, his voice cracking on her last name. "As you may know, my name is Dr. Levi Ackerman. Are you here to discuss surgery procedures or something else?"

He's been looking for this person for nearly two hours now. She had dropped something and Iris wanted to return it to her. Blue eyes looked around, feeling frustration crawl up his throat. Where could he look now?
A Possible Mistake || Terres & Giselle
" I don't want her dead! And refrain from causing any major injuries--I mean, she's a freak! She deserves anything that comes to her. So, just... knock her out, steal her money, I don't care. I'll pay you big. Just let her know that she's... a horrible person. "
N ormally the guild never asked any serious questions, so long as murder or other inhumane actions were requested of them. Many of the members had different positions or ranks; Terres was more or less a scout, one who collects information and does a lot of midnight thieving. However, this one time, the thief didn't feel like it was a good idea... the man who had personally come to find their hideout was sweating, constantly swallowing in a nervous manner, and didn't give any explicit details on the target, except that it was a very tomboyish girl who always had her hair up--and, that she frequented the park on clear days.
Nobody in particular was requested to on this job, so just out of cautiousness Terres had taken it upon himself to do it.
Sitting upon a sturdy branch hidden the foliage of a tree, the man relaxed while carefully scanning the entire park, waiting to notice somebody who fit the description. There were plenty of girls who came by with their hair up, especially around the afternoon hours--but none of them seemed to give him the thought of a target. They were all just very... ordinary.
It was around the evening as the sky began to change into a light pinkish orange when he happened to notice someone; a girl, with dark brown hair, put up in a ponytail, and a distinctive hairclip. Shifting himself in a more comfortable position, he watched this girl as she followed the concrete track that encircled the park--something about her just different. There was a certain atmosphere about her, and even though there was some distance between the two of them, he could feel it right where he was.
That has to be her.
Scanning around and making sure there was nobody to see him, the thief quietly climbed down a few branches before quietly falling and landing upon the ground, collecting his hat that he had hung on a twig on his way down. He quickly locked back onto his target, and found a nearby bench to sit on so he could wait for her to pass by.

"Amaya huh . . . I guess she'd teach me how to make tea properly. I haven't been annoying visiting her much lately either."

pathifery replied to your post: "Red said I can’t...
(sits here sipping tea to stay awake, yato you should try tea if red doesn't want you to get some coffee)
"But every time I try to make tea its either too plain or way too sweet. And I don't have the money to buy it already made."
Festive Grief || Giselle & Robin
-{♚}- It would seem that each day only brought more reason for him to believe the vast majority of human beings lacked any form of sense. Today was no different, and he was already regretting dragging himself from the spot within the nearby forest that he had been resting in. The peaceful and light atmosphere did wonders for the growing ache that was numbing his forehead. Sure, he was used to the frequent and seemingly random migraines that plagued him. However, he was not at all used to the overly loud and obnoxious shouting from the general population that apparently happened when there was a festival he had not been made aware of. Had he known, he would have stayed clear of towns, and done his shopping some other time.
But, here he was, in the center of whatever the heck festival that was going on. He hadn’t made himself familiar with such events since waking in this land once again, thus his knowledge on such subjects was limited. Granted, he had only been awake for a few months now, thus his understanding of certain things were vague at best. Though, he rarely bothered to dive into facts that weren’t going to benefit him in some way. It was simply in his nature to brush them off now. He had bigger problems than such inane details of the world.
Suppressing his urge to turn tail and flee from the celebration for the sake of the throbbing pain in his head, he decided to stick around to see if he could get anything on discount. Might as well make use of one’s circumstances, no matter how unlucky they may be. Now, he just had to remember what he had come into town for after having been distracted by all of the noise. There hadn’t been much, as he could only keep what he could hold on his person, which made shopping trips rather quick when he had to make them. And the brief grown from his stomach had served as a reminder that he had run out of food a few days previous, as well as the fact that he had been wasting the use of his tomes by hunting due to the lack of jobs he had come upon recently.
He could go for a decent meal for once. Shrugging off the urge to spend more money than he actually had, he shoved his hands into the pockets of his cloak, and began to make his way through the crowded town. Ashen irises slowly scanning over various stands lining the streets for the festival to see if there was anything interesting in them. Well, mostly looking to see if there was anything cheap, but luck appeared to be rarely on his side. It seemed that he was going to have to find himself a job, if he wanted to get anything that he had come here for. Frustration creasing his forehead, as he rubbed his skins against the skin in hopes of easing the nagging pain in his head, as well as his annoyance at taking on pity jobs the week before.
But, just as he was about to scan the area for potential employers, he nearly managed to run into someone. Only missing colliding with them thanks to sidestepping them the moment his vision made their form clear to him. They seemed to be in a daze from the festival, or so he assumed. “Be careful,” The warning was mostly for their own good, rather than him responding to their near collusion. “Are you all right?” There was no point in apologizing, on either part, as far as he was concerned.
'' listen well and listen good.'' Jordan place a hand on her waist and glared at the regular customers.'' I wouldn't tolerate any funny business. This cafe also host normal humans. if I catch anyone of you I will turn to you to ugly frogs and feed to my cat.'' She was entirely serious about the frog part. '' now who wants coffee?''
