Design was honestly my favorite class of this year, it forced me to think differently and creatively, both things that I'm good at, I learned business skills, communication skills and even presenting skills, I learned how to be a leader yet also follow ideas of peers, it's been quite the journey and I've learned so much from this one class. Especially about how other college students think, thanks a lot Ms. Stover!!

Reflection 13 We were the first group to present, and honestly I learned a very important skill from this presentation, of you ever wanna convince someone to do something, try to convince there kids first because they’ll be able to convince there parents. Project 1 did an awesome job, I loved there simple project, it was great and very well presented. Sadly I wasn’t able to view the other groups but they’ve all worked hard and I’m assuming they did a great job too. This class has been an amazing experience and I’m actually gaining about switching to to a product design major!

It was really fun listening to different groups and how they approached there problems, really proves that working together gets a lot more done and gets you more ideas from different minds. This concept about getting more ideas from more mind really was proven hers, furthermore, everyweek in this class I learn more and more that I can apply to how I view the world around me. It's very fun, and honestly my favorite class as of now.

Of all the weeks presentations I enjoyed this one the most and also took away the most, the speaker, Lisa, talked about Biomimicry which in this age is probably one of the biggest thoughts that are kept in mind when designing something. Her talking about all the plastic that gets washed up and all the waste that goes into and out of making basic products really opened my eyes, Through out the week I kept an eye out for interesting companies or products that keep biomimicry in find when they introduce or create their products. I actually found two really cool ones, A bug salad bowl which was made from recycled plastic and organic material, and to take it a step toward it was made machine washable safe. I ended up buying it just because it was so cool. The second item actually shocked me a little, get this......it was a Coca Cola plastic bottle, in fact I found out that mostly all there bottle are made from recycled plastic, which I found very interesting.

This week we talked about prototyping, and honestly before i used to think that prototyping is just a quick thing you make up that’s functional and cheap but gets the job done, But after listening to the speakers about making the roads for bike trails, I realized that the prototype can be part of the final product and even be a small part of it, doesn't have to a completely different thing. Prototyping will definitely be a huge part of our project and any future ones. 

This week we emphasized on empathy, and after the lectures and activities I have tuned myself to to noticing empathy in a lot of promotions, especially presidential commercials, where they try to relate to the bad things that the average American is going through, and it really makes you think how often and how much they use this, basically over use it. It seems like it works the best so makes as sense to why they do this. I will definitely try to use emotions and empathy in my next projects to really get the audience into it and supporting it.

This week has been awesome, honestly I enjoy this class the most of all my classes, the Wednesday presentations give me such and insight about all the different fields and possibilities in them. This weeks was different than the usual, it was about mapping, and honestly it wasn't something that I am interested in, but I learned so much. I couldn't be more happy that I chose this class, its making me a well rounded individual.

This week was very interesting, I realized that most of the problems that I have are common amongst other students, I also was able to think creatively on how to solve some on the problems that people faced. With enough trial and error I can really come up with a legitimate solution.
