For those concerned about Muchi, there already is a canon name and story for the rancor that Luke kills in Return of the Jedi.
Of course, we’ve seen that just because something’s canon doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t be retconned, but right now, it’s much more likely that Jabba just has multiple rancors. Maybe Muchi will show up in The Book of Boba Fett!
Jabba’s rancor was male and named Pateesa, so this is either a different rancor or a retcon.
