The memories swing on by, the night my childhood slowly died. The moment I got my innocence ripped away. My 4 year old selfless body shook under his touch, his warm hands, yet cold heart embraced me like he needed it. Grey sheets, white bed, light blue covers, "To young to remember" they say. Not to old to forget. Nightmares creeps its way into my brain. "I survived..." yeah... survived? I survived yet I cry when being touched by any man, I have nightmares I cant uncover from when all they do is destroy me whole. My heart, my soul, my mind, the night he touched me and took what he wanted and ran away. I'm not angry, just disappointed, disappointed I didn't get the childhood i dreamed of since I was 2 since I was old enough to breathe. They told me "It didn't count" "He was a kid to so it didn't count" Grew up to learn to shut up. Now I'm 16, dark nights still haunt me, I still remember what he said, those words that destroyed me. He has a kid now? Do I forgive him? How could I? He's the reason for this mess. How can I forgive him for a mess he caused. I can't and I won't not now not ever.
Authors note--- I know most of my poems are dark like this one but I write poems to show others their not alone in what happend to them. To let them know their a survivor just like you and I. Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoyed it.
