   Soft tinkering noises sounded as tools met alloyed metal, twisting and turning, cutting and welding, fitting and loosening, the sounds of a symphony played with lasers and ferrite. The laboratory was kept cool at all times, a perfect and stable temperature to ensure that processing power was nominal... and ‘specimens’ well-preserved. Conducting this cold symphony was a lone figure, hunched and thin, almost brooding underneath the visor over his eyes. The data he’d compiled was absolute, the numbers perfect, the design his magnum opus-- his beloved Zanuka prototype, given life at the tips of his fingers. With every new attachment, he silently praised his own genius, drawing himself more and more into his work, shutting out the rest of the world.    But then there was a blip on his visor. A layout of his facility sprawled across the right-hand side of his vision, an alert that something had been tampered with. Judging by the positioning, he deduced that it was one of his MOAs malfunctioning. No matter, he thought, that was why he had Crewmen.  He went back to his tinkering, trying not to let the interruption bother him. But not long after, another blip appeared, and another, and another until--

If Ryuuta had to choose between Grineer and Corpus missions, she would admit that she had a preference for the Corpus. To her, the puzzles and codes that the Corpus used made significantly more sense to her. She still kept her usual methodology of sedating anyone who might have seen her. So the paths to the data vaults were lined with sleep arrows as she crept along. She dropped her Prowl once she was in the Data Vault and she started looking for the data that she was sent here to retrieve.  She worked as fast as she could to find the data but she was having a hard time finding it. This might be a situation where she would have to go to all of the different data vaults in the area to get what she needed.

Shutting the console down she was about to slip back into Prowl to move onto the next Data Vault when she saw a Warframe. She didn’t immediately call for her Artemis Bow, but she was on edge. She always ran solo for these sort of missions. So there were only a few explanations that she could think of and none of them fared well for her. Maybe if things got messy she could just go into her Operator form and trigger all the alarms to create a distraction and come back later.

“I was just leaving.”

All Corpus are taught to be opportunistic from an early age.. or they learn how valuable it can be on their own. It’s a dog eat dog system, and only the quick, the crafty, and the ruthless get rich. In this regard, Alad is a vulture– he’ll circle a corpse for morsels, he’ll do the unthinkable if he believes it’ll benefit him. He’s started wars, destroyed old alliances, poked at a hive of ancient superbeings ( despite being warned ), and attempted to destroy his old friends for his own gain. It’s just business. And businesses need opportunities, even manufactured ones. Who is he to deny that?

Alad strives a bit too hard. Therein lies the plot of pretty much all of the old events 

I will say that when he does ‘go with the flow’ it’s only because he’s watching events from afar... biding his time... waiting for a good chance. And, well, watching things unfold is fun, isn’t it ? I’d imagine that’s what he’s up to in the game right now, post-Shadow Debt... Lurking.
