A little before October came around, my doc said I could go back to BJJ but he seemed really skeptical about it. He suggested I be really slow and careful. 

I was pretty slow.

I didn't know my limit, and didn't want to risk finding out. 

So I decided to wait one more month and until I talked to my doctor again. 

That month passed by pretty quickly and after getting examined again from my doc, he said I could go back to BJJ without hesitation... it was the official GREEN LIGHT.

I could hardly catch my breath as my dad and I headed to the gym.

When I got on the mat, my body was already hurting from cross training the day before, but I was ready. 

(While I was injured, Purebred implemented new workouts before tech. I was definitely fighting the urge to relieve myself of the burn I was feeling by sitting down. I prayed I-don't-know how many Hail Marys to get me through.)

We went over awesome tech and learned a sub that I can't wait to use in a tourney.

Then we played a pass guard game, and at first I agreed with my careful self that I would go really slow.

But when Coach T and I slapped hands, my body kinda took over.

And as I continued to spar with other people, I just wanted to go all out!!
