five times kissed (from Luther... I'm not sorry at all XD)
send me five times kissed for a drabble about five times our muses kissed
1. The first time shouldn’t have even been counted as a KISS. Not really. It was more of a joke. HONESTLY. More of a COMFORT thing than anything romantic. And in all honesty Sophie hadn’t really thought the implications through before she was moving in closer. But he had got a CUT on his hand. Not a serious one of course, it was Luther after all. It was barely even above a paper cut. But he had HISSED at the sensation all the same and the sheer ridiculousness of it made her laugh. Big bad Luther being struck down by nothing more than a paper cut? She was KIND however, and always felt the need to make things better for the people she cared about so before she knew it, the blonde was grabbing his hand and lifting it to her lips. Kisses made EVERYTHING better. But it was only AFTER her lips were pressed to his skin did she realize what she had done. She lingered there for half a second before her body caught up with her brain and with a WIDENING of her blue eyes, she almost jumped back in shock. Cheeks burned red, and she felt the desire to melt into the floor. God, she was never going to be able to live that one down. But thankfully, after a beat passed, he LAUGHED and it seemed that they were fine. Just a JOKE. But still her cheeks burned.
2. The second happened in the spur of the moment. Sophie had once more been forced to see him off on a mission all on his own and her heart ACHED the entire time he was gone. Would he be okay? Would he make it? So far, he always did - but it only took one time. Grace tried to calm her fears with cupcakes, and while the sentiment was appreciated, her body still hummed with nerves. He was gone for HOURS. So long in fact, that everyone in the house hold simply went to BED without waiting for him. It was USUAL for ‘Master Luther’ to return home late from this kind of mission, Pogo had said. He also tried to calm her nerves with soft words and a kind smile. But Sophie didn’t understand. Luther was out there by himself, fighting BY HIMSELF. How could they sleep? She knew she wouldn’t be able to. And so she paced the front foyer. Hours seemed to pass, as she grew more and more worried. And just as she was about to break down and demand everyone wake up, the door knob turned to the front door. Sophie flew towards the door, and the taller of the pair was BARELY able to enter before she was throwing her arms around his neck in a hug. She was worried that he would be hurt of course, but in the spur of the moment she couldn’t do ANYTHING until she hugged him. It seemed though that in her wild state, her lips had a mind of their own and once she was close enough she planted a kiss directly onto his own. Like last time, it took a moment for her to realize what she had done but before she even had a chance to jump away like she had before, arms were encircling around her waist. Trapping her there. Suddenly the thought of being TRAPPED wasn’t so scary.
3. The third time was more intentional. Reginald and Pogo had packed themselves up and left town. He hadn’t told them were they were going, and Sophie hadn’t bothered to ask. That just meant one thing. They’d have the run of the house without him getting in the way. Perfect. Though instead of just goofing off the ENTIRE time, the blonde did have one request of the Academy’s remaining student. She needed to LEARN how to defend herself. How to use her powers in the proper manner. And so, she asked him for his help. The conversation had been wary at first, as he didn’t want her to get hurt - but she always got her way in the end. And so with Grace powered down for a scheduled update of sorts, they began. Sophie could TELL he was going easy on her, but after a while she learned to hold her own. In fact, it only took three days of training each morning for her to unlock a part of her power that she hadn’t previously discovered. Reginald would be thrilled ... in his own way once returned, but in his absence, she could celebrate in her own way. And that just happened to be pinning the larger boy down while he stood there in SHOCK of her display and planting a kiss on him. Her smile was wide however, and giggles spilled out between every intake of breath.
4. The fourth was almost their last. Sophie had finally convinced everyone that she was READY to join Luther on his missions. They had been training for weeks now, and while he was still ahead by YEARS, she had learned a lot. And she wanted to help. He didn’t have to bare the weight of it all on his own anymore. So eventually Reginald allowed it - after all, why hire her on, knowing about her powers from the beginning if he wasn’t going to USE them? She had NEVER been there just to take care of him in his old age. Grace could have done all of that. Sophie wasn’t stupid. But that first mission had been hard. Too hard for just the two of them and after fighting for their lives, it seemed as though they were cornered. Backed into a situation that seemed grim no matter the outcome and Luther was seemingly using the last of his strength to shield her. Of course. Self sacrificing was kind of his thing. Blue eyes were teary as the fire that had gotten out of control raged around them and a hand gently pressed to the mans cheek. Regret was the only thing she felt from him. Regret for allowing her to come, and regret for allowing her in harms way. But in her heart there was only affection. The girl attempted a smile and without a word exchanged between them, she lent up onto her tip toes and pressed a gentle kiss to his lips. All of a sudden, shouting could be heard from the next room and before they had time to register what was going on, part of the building collapsed and thus gave them a proper escape route. Her first mission had nearly been her last, but in the end he had gotten the pair of them out and the ‘bad guys’ were caught up in the flames, with no where to go but down with their proverbial ship.
5. The fifth nearly stopped her heart. They had finally DONE it. After a mission that had been far too close for comfort, Sophie put her foot down. He didn’t need to DO this anymore. He didn’t need to listen to his father, and drop everything to run off into danger. It wasn’t fair of him to ask that of Luther. And if everyone else could walk away on their own terms, he could too. Luther was LOYAL of course, but something inside of him had seemingly shifted. Perhaps he was more loyal to HER now than his adoptive father. Perhaps something else. She didn’t quite know - but in the end it didn’t matter. For she had finally convinced him to run. To live his life his OWN way, and thankfully that meant having her by his side. It wasn’t going to be glamorous. No big mansion or stacks of money, but it was all they would need. Just each other. Finally able to be FREE with their feelings toward each other. More so than she could have ever imagined in fact, for as soon as they were settled for their first night away from Reginald? Those three little words were uttered beneath Luther’s breath and Sophie almost forgot how to breath. ❝I love you too.❞ Whispered back equally as quiet, the blonde smiled up at him and within an instant their lips were locked. The world seemed to fade away and the only thing she could see, the only thing she could feel - was Luther. That’s how she knew they would be able to make it away from his father. They had each other and therefore anything was possible.
