I think one of the worst parts of having a CDD for me is the time warping that I experience. I’m always aware and never experience a full switch, the closest I get is when I’m basically pushed out of control and have to watch stuff (but even then I’m still conscious).
Due to that, I rarely (if ever) experience blackout amnesia and complete losing of time. But due to the co-fronts and co-consciousness experiences, I do still get varying levels of amnesia, which in turn cause my sense of time to be off.
Like. I really don’t care about losing memories because I often don’t realise I’ve lost them until someone goes “yeah I said x to you yesterday” or something. But the time warping really throws me off.
I often end up in situations where I think something was last year, or last month, or last week. And it was more like three years ago, six months ago, or even three-four months ago. It really fucks with me because I then go into a breakdown over it.
But on the other side, I also experience time so freaking slowly. Like. It feels like it’s taking ages for something to happen or for a certain date to arrive or that I have a lot more time for something than I actually do.
It’s so frustrating because I then end up having the two mess with each other and it results in me going “oh nah, I’m fine I have plenty of time to do something” and then the deadlines looming on me what feels like the next day and I’m like “fuck fuck fuck”.
Yeah. I’m really bad at putting this into words but hopefully I’m not alone in this feeling of time being stretched and squashed simultaneously.
You don't need to use words and terms that don't feel like they accurately describe your experiences.
You don't have to call yourself a system, or even plural.
You don't have to call them "alters" or "parts."
You can use other words and terms that feel the most authentic to you. You don't have to conform to the commonly used words and terminology in system spaces, even if it means other people might find the way you describe your experiences "weird" and unrelatable, you deserve to use the language that feels authentic to you.
You don't deserve to be pressured into using words and terminology that don't feel like accurate or authentic ways to describe your experiences!
Simply plural template, yes because I love make template
Will be post in comment !!

the lack of resources on p-did is really annoying. i wish there was more public accounts and other stuff
that aside, does anyone ever feel like they're just a filter through which other alters' emotions pass through? or a medium for other alters' emotions and intentions if i'm making sense
yeah, it's really unfortunate,, i'm lucky to have been able to find some resources in my native language but they're also few and took multiple hours to find since most things are just the icd entry for p-did (i've actually found it to be harder to find p-did resources in english than my native language which is. wild)
and yeah, i do feel like that sometimes! especially since if alters want to talk with someone outside the system i usually have to write/communicate for them. or sometimes i'll start being annoyed by or hating something that i normally really like (e.g. the other day i was feeling pretty confused when i was getting really irrationally angry over bird chirping despite normally loving bird chirping, turns out it was feelings from another alter who was really annoyed from high-pitched sounds)
👀? which of these PDID experiences would folks be interested in seeing as a potential comic, if any?
🔵Azul's experiences as a front-bound 'host' in the system
⚫☁️Personal collective experience as being loveless and ties to PDID
⚫☁️/🔵Personal experiences with dissociation and switch ranges
⚫☁️/🔵Access to memories, emotional amnesia and blurriness
Something else? ( comment in replies or send an ask :] )
am definitely interested in talking about and sharing all of these at some point, depending on the amount of spoons we have :)
thought to organize this poll both as a reminder for ourselves- and out of curiosity to see if any the topics would interest folks ! (especially since we wish to help encourage more discussion of pdid experiences )
p-did npd culture is the fear that you may not actually be a system which would mean you're just the same as everybody else
