YES YES THEYRE A LITTLE FROG CREATURE AND THEY ENJOY PLAYING THE BASS DRUM BUT they could play any persuasion instrument if they wanted to!

Parry lives in the neighborhood off band season so winter spring and half of summer they live with their adoptive duck family. They tried to live there and didn’t realize ducks already occupied the house………..

They’re very literal and to the point so they often come off as rude! But they never mean anything in bad spirit. Unless you offend them.

Their voice is super congested and monotone. And they never drag out pronunciation. It’s like listening to a metronome. Now that I think about it, Wally probably has a very easy time talking to them.

Parry can be a very individual, their life is run by schedules! Very stressful! Parry Diddle themself is meant to be a lesson that it’s okay to relax and go with the flow. It’s okay to live.

Also any budumtss you hear after a Barnaby joke is Parry Diddle (yes I make the rules)

That reminds me in my little brain there is an episode where Parry Diddle becomes starstruck due to their crush and becomes… sick. Incapable of functioning. Staring into space with their little frog tongue sticking out. Cannot hold a pair of sticks to save their little life.

During this episode as the rest of the cast proceeds through storyline there is a severe lack in percussive instruments in the score! And if there is any played, it is very very very off beat.

Also Parry ate a butterfly in front of Frank once I don’t know if theyre friends anymore.

ALSO Parry’s puppet model doesn’t have eyes! Their hair and hat is meant to forever sit on their face! Do not fret; they can still see! Haha. Wally feels deeply for them.

ALSO ALSO in the studio there a little life sized jacket of Parry Diddle that actors can wear to do drum playing that’s too complex for their little puppet bodies!!! Only the chest and arms are visible for these shots.

OK I WAS ASKED ON INSTA THE NAMES OF PARRY DIDDLES DUCKY FAMILY (and if there’s a favorite)

1. They were not named by Parry bc they’re semi sentient and had names upon birth.

2. They adopted nicknames from Parry anyways (which they love)

3. No favorite, they are quality loved

Their names! (There are four ducklings) all of their names (and nicknames) are puns.

Mommy - Marsha/Marcha

Duckling 1 - Frondrick/Uno

D2 - Lily/Dos

D3 - Swampert/Tres

D4 - Rill/Quattro

They don’t mind being called numbers I swear

4. Marsha is the favorite

Parry originally called them what they wanted to because they had a hard time remembering names. So they called them something they are INCREDIBLY familiar with.
