it’s always “i’m in love with you, i have been for a long time, and i’ve never known how to tell you” and never “you know, most of the time i really hated you.”
🔥 be more chill......*eyes emoji*
im gonna…b real under the cut
honestly….i got into b/mc bc everyone i followed got into it, and when i got my first Taste Of “Fame” on the internet because of it it was really reassuring that i was doing something right. i talked to one of the writers, and overall it became one of my special interests for about four months.
what i realized about two months into this obsession, is that b/mc is objectively….really bad. the writing is alright, we get no development for basically…any of the characters other than jeremy (though we get bits and pieces) and while it was praised for the ~big lgbt+ representation~ what we had really gotten was…one bi character who comes out at the VERY END of the musical.
my biggest problem in the fandom, is the complete ignorance to most of the story despite the boot and script being easily accessible online. continual hate of female characters, lack of lesbian content dispite half of the cast being women and an overabundance of content dedicated to mlm ships featuring characters who either never make appearances (ahem, d*stin kropp) or barely get as much character development as some of the much more solidified female characters/friendships.
while b/mc is certainly fun and entertaining, its quality is nowhere near deserving of the praise that it gets, and really honestly if any musical were to blow up, i’m a little bit offended that it was this one when there are so many more amazing musicals who offer actual diversity/better lyricism (which, lbr, can be generic and bland in b/mc)
one thing that b/mc does have going for it is it’s score, which is unique and fun and i still love!!!!
your art is too amazing and, uh, i love you

im on season 5 episode 8 of gilmore girls and
ok so the consensus (in show) seems to be that dean isnt “good enough” for rory. emily & richard think its bc he’s WC and luke thinks he isnt ambitious enough for our girl rory and honestly i trust luke w my life so thats not the point here
jess is plenty smart for her but he doesnt encourage any good behaviour in her and treats her like dogshit honestly
she makes Bad Decisions when she’s with logan
but who has always been there to challenge her mentally? with whom does she share a deep mutual respect and years of friendship? who actually treats her as well as she can?
nobody can deny that paris is better for rory than any of her Shitty boyfriends
