Ales (Sardinia). Santa Maria square. Park House. Walking through Ales. Slim guide for passengers and wayfarer. Another important aspect of the square is the "Casa del parco". In reality there is no park, although there are the potential, from the stream, to the antiquities, the botanical species (including the mythical "clematis vitalba"), even to a sulfur fount (funtana 'e allumiu - literally "source of the match"). Everything described in my text "Welcome to Ales and Zeppara". The communal building, whose structure is reminiscent of the old courtyard houses, took on that name, because it would serve as a museum and reception for the Monte Arci Park, which has been in its starting phase for over twenty years. The region established the parks many years ago, but the appropriate resources never arrived. The house has therefore hosted, over time, important services: conferences, social, cultural, musical activities ... In the images: the portal, the courtyard and the open gallery, a "Seed" by the sculptor Pinuccio Sciola, and the ancient road to Pau.
