Fusion Chinese Cuisine-Park Chinois

Park Chinois, a very fusion Chinese restaurant, which is designed in the style of old Shanghai jazz bar. As we know, Chinese cuisine has a very long history, and it divided into different types of cuisine by areas such as Cantonese cuisine, Sichuan cuisine, and Shanghai cuisine…the reason why I say it fusion is Park chinois cooked different kinds of Chinese food in a western(new) way.

As a Cantonese, Dim sum is my favourite. because of there are no many kinds of dim sum for dinner, I choose shumai as the starter, which is make of pork and prawn in a very traditional way.

As for the main dish, we try ‘Park Carbonara’ , a dish consisted of Chinese noodle served with 65 degree egg, pancetta and sea urchin, which is very delicate. The waiter help us to mix the noodle, and divide it into three parts, it is very delicious!

The next dish is I ask the waiter for a recommendation and he says Angus beef short ribs with baby shallot and black bean sauce is very good and popular. The portion is big, the taste of the beef is quite good.

At last, we tried three different desserts. To be honest, we are a little disappointed about this three desserts because they are not tasty enough and the menu of dessert just have a few choices.

Overall, the whole Park Chinois experience is very enjoyable. The setting and atmosphere was so romantic, perfect place for a date, or an entertaining evening for both food and music.The live show during the dinner is brilliant.  The service is good and the waiters are very patient and friendly. All the main dish I tried are very delicious,but the desserts are a little disappointed. The price is £85 per person which is a little experience.
