I was looking at an art tip that suggested skipping the lineart phase and coloring straight from the sketch phase utilizing the lasso tool so I wanted to give it a try. Not really sure if I actually drew faster but it was nice doing a drawing of my OC Pari. I wanted to surround her with some medicinal and poisonous plants to show off her plant knowledge.

It's time for some OC Mermay art! I'm looking forward to having a theme for this month. Starting off this year, I have the friend duo Parivash and Cherry. I want to explore more interactions with OCs that have connections that I don't draw together consistently.

This week I'm bringing some of my younger OCs, Hepsiba, Parivash, and Rook dressed as Red Riding Hood, Catra, and a newsboy respectively. Hepsiba is enhancing her costume with a little illusion.

Inktober Day 4: Originally, Pari was going to go as a monster but instead she is going as Catra from She Ra.

Parivash enjoys jars, making potions, and festive music. She dislikes people touching her things and healing minor injuries. She is a quick thinker and brutal with a dark sense of humor. Pari’s favorite food is lamb kabobs.

Today is Parivash’s (nickname “Pari”) birthday. Pari is a sorceress/witch who specializes in healing magic. She was orphaned at 6 and doesn’t rely on her magic to live. One of her other skills in pick pocketing. And although she’s a healer she doesn’t have the kind of attitude that one would like in their healers. She’s cunning, streetsmart, and has a sharp tongue.  She enjoys plants, hammocks, and outdoor markets. She’s not fond of nonspell books and large bodies of water. She’s from a desert region and is also known as “The Little Sand Witch”
