-Hull lengthening, strengthening, and conversion to 3-4″ (maximum at belt) steel plating, effectively converting her to an ironclad.
-Introduction of oil-firing diesel engine, with three pipes to run a single propeller; ballast and hold repurposed for new machinery and fuel stowage, three masts and sails maintained.
-Installation of long-range and short-range radio for communication with command elements and fellow ships
-Maintaining of raised stern deck and forecastle for improved observation and AA capability.
-Installation of 4 Oerlikon 20mm L/70s, two on raised stern deck, two on raised forecastle.
-Installation of 2 Bofors 40mm L/60 guns in single mounts midships, either side of the steam pipes.
-Installation of 13 Browning .50 caliber HMGs to replace 4-pounder carronades. One installed midmast on each mast, 10 spread evenly across the ship, 5 per side.
-New main gun deck with 12 wide gunports per side, fitted with 24 3″/50 guns with 15 degrees azimuth, 10 degrees elevation, 4 degrees depression.
-Secondary gun deck refit with 12 torpedo tubes, 6 per side. Prepared for MU90 Impact torpedoes, but can be refit for logistic purposes.
-Complete and thorough update of sea shanty repertoire, complete with over 3 hours of shanties.
-New less porous synthetic black sails, for maximum wind resistance
Loadout is deemed sufficient for independent privateering missions and convoy escort missions by high command. Merchant marine vessels are advised to be on watch for black sails, and not to hand over any alcohol no matter how much she asks.
