a  spring  breeze  whistles  through  the  truck  bed.    they  had  come  out  here  to  stargaze    –    something  that  was  entirely  impossible  from  her  manhattan  apartment,    even  on  the  rooftop.    the  city  was  steadily filled  with  a smog  that  mimicked  natural  fog    –    suffocating  the  stars  in  modern pollution.    she  hadn’t  meant  to  fall  asleep  but  his  chest  was  so  warm  and  the  night  was  so  calm,    she  feels  him  stir beneath her  –    covering  her  exposed  backside  from  the  elements  with  a  blanket.    soft,    simple.    that’s  how  being  with  him  felt.    ❛  mm,    are  you  sure?  ❜    voice  still  sleepy  with  lingering  dreams.    ❛  we  can  head  back  home,    if  you’d  like.  ❜    though  she  wouldn’t  mind  just  a  few  more  minutes  with  him  beneath  the  stars.
