Amazing Parisian loft with a courtyard that used to be old stables.

The kitchen is absolutely stunning. Look at the atrium ceiling.

This spectacular kitchen is larger than my entire apt.

The space is shaped in a triangle, that you can see here in the living room- see how it narrows in the corner?

There’s a large 2nd fl. loft open to the living area.

I don’t know what the building codes in Paris are, but they’ve outlawed open stairs, at least in Chicago. They’re scary, like you can slip right thru them.

There are 3 bedrooms and this is the very large master in the loft.

The owners of this extraordinary loft in Paris call it The Black Box. Within the black box is the bedroom and bath. 

If they didn’t build the black box, this would be one open room.

So, now this became a separate living room. I like the contrast of the traditional wainscoting on the black walls against the modernity of the kitchen & living room. 

With it’s standard white tile, the kitchen looks like a lab, doesn’t it?

I’m going nutzo over this old commercial building in Paris, converted to a loft.

Isn’t this fabulous? Look at the old brick wall that fantastic fireplace is on. And, the books shelves, stairs, and tree trunks!

An ostrich skeleton as art.

I’ve never seen an exposed fireplace flue. So unusual. 

This home is very open and airy- lots of glass, balconies and catwalks. 

What interesting cabinets. They look like old safes. 

Two sleeping areas and one fabulous library. 

Very large bath off the living room and atrium. This is a very different layout, but I love it. 

Just drooling over this Paris apt. near the Louvre. 

What a great kitchen- you can see the 1st fl. bedroom and also the loft bdrm. from here. 

Gorgeous- each bedroom has it’s own private bath.

This building in Paris has such an unusual apt. that it demonstrates how lovely a quirky apt. can be.

Inside are beautiful vintage doors and those odd windows. A glass roof partially lights the space. 

Beautiful wood. Notice the bed tucked under the stairs.

The main room is huge and look at the balcony. 

The dining room is so cute. It’s rosy.

The small, kitchen is very green and I’m in love with the cabinetry. Maybe it would look better w/white walls.

The master has a wonderful glass ceiling.

The bath. At first, I thought this was a vintage Parisian rental, but it’s for sale and listed for a whopping $1.7M!
