Many may castigate you for throwing status in the air and doing what has to be done to feed cloth and train your children. You are a "Super Parent" You may be looked down upon by those who have it all together, just remember it's not a race against other parents but a duty to earn a smile on your children's face. Love your children? Then don't have a dozen to compete for love, scarces financial and emotional resources among themselves. Plan your family. Then don't give them money without financial intelligence. Teach them resource management principles Then don't leave them with teacher without being the principal. Attend PTA meeting besides constantly asking about how they are doing at School and School work. RFP will challenge your children to embrace deep thinking to fix, Uncode or Unravel complex situation. RFP will also activate the imagination of our children into creativity and invention instead of shutting down their inherent abilities RFP has an operational procedure deep rooted in the "Meditation" until they can relate with the details of success. It's another Parenting Friday and I want to congratulate parents who survived the holiday and have resumed school runs. For parents of teens, well done. You don't have a break from wondering what happened to your babies. The millinial bug has increased the complexity of your position so hang in there. Truth be told they are just a reflection of you when you were that age but with more For the surprised parents, I mean those who are still enjoying the arrival of that bundle of joy or joys in the case of twins, welcome to an interesting journey of responsibility and mystery. Every next phase of parenting is very interesting and Friends you will be stunned by what many enjoy or suffer in the hands of others for being parents. Parents of all ages are celebrated but some are bullied and picked upon. Parents are honoured but some others are disqualified from certain priviledges especially at work. My heart goes to Parents who are enduring the unforgiveness of society because of what their own parents or children did. Parents of exconvicts, drug addicts or those in prison are in pain... They need us to be their emotional and spiritual support system. Galatians 6:2, Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. When these parents are buried deep in the unforgiveness of others and the second guessing of themselves, we need to encourage ourselves to learn to forgives those around us constantly... Stop transferring your shame... it's not humility or being gentle. It's really a manifestation of the feeling of being imprisoned by inadequacies. Stop teaching your children to feel worthless in the name of discipline, they will take it out on others as they grow, associate or get married. Our Young Men today act out their insecurities by bullying others with their achievements, status and money. Our Young Ladies on the hand use seduction and sex in the name of being sexy to be accepted. The epidemic of the blame game syndrome today is proof of how wide spread this issue has affected the about 7 billion of us on earth today. Children suffer much as a result of this shame transfer sting. Suicide to safe face, divorce and single parenthood to stew in the distructive am too~good for you or the am not~good enough for you thinking is very real today. Shame transferred creates the lone ranger spirit in us. We become self appointed and self accounting. Nobody can correct us ...even God ...knows we are always doing the right thing (forgive my sarcasm) Please not that the superiority mentality is not a result of Shame transferred but traceable to humility in God, His Word and Proof. Acts 3:26, Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. God by example showed us the process of Parenting with purpose in mind. He raised His Son and sent him with a specific purpose to bless by turning men from iniquity In your process of parenting don't lie to your children!!! Lies will backfire. You will loss credibility, you will be stressed trying to keep the old lie relevant. You will be messed up in the end. Many today live a lie, several pictures are taken fuel g selfie only the one with the best appeal to represent an objective is used Parents don't live a "Selfie like life", showing only all that seem be working or not to your children... As much as you desire to be trusted, respected and celebrated, tell the truth. Many of them see beyond your "Your displayed self". Don't say you were first always in your class or among your colleagues, say I gave my best and it paid off. Don't say you don't pluck money from trees, say you didn't prepare for this expense but I will do my best to get the money or this expense can be postponed to a definite time. Parents, Migration is happening... Like birds do their seasonal mandatory journey for a season and return later, our children are migrating. Hopefully some will return bearing profit. "He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him" 1 The issue of concern in this migration is where our children go when they go. This migration is not necessarily a physical relocation but an emotional, spiritual and intellectual one. Our children are not even leaving to another church, etc but to social media. Some are in a thought transition others are in an expression hunger while some are migrating to the dark side of luck instead of hardwork, occultism instead of the value of righteous we so doggedly try to instil in them and pretence instead of resilience and faithfulness And like in the avian (birds) migration where there is a leader, who is leading our children? Is it the values of politics in our national discuss today or the bad influence of junk media and entertainment? We talk more of peer pressure rather than the peer group influencers. What role do our beliefs play in this migration? Our answers are hidden in the fact that the freedom our children desire is not freedom at all. Jesus said 'my yoke is easy' which implies that we are never without a burden irrespective of where we stand, weather in Freedom or in Bondage... I choose the burden of Freedom. #ParentingAResource Poverty hinders even to the point of parenting. Children are today born into families without a thought to ask “Who” or “What” they were born to do or accomplish in their generation... and who thought to ask? Just a few. The International standard bible version of Proverbs 22:6 says parents are to “Train a child in the way APPROPRIATE for him, and when he becomes older, he will not turn from it” (Proverbs 22:6 ISV) This word “Appropriate” by all means defines the objective of our parenting. We are therefore to nurture our offsprings with the intent to refining particular inherent resources or talent for the sole purpose of accomplishing a Calling. This also involves training a child with a “Cause” in mind which in this case should be about establishing the Kingdom or Government of God on the earth (family, career, etc) The temptation of training your children to settle old scores on your behalf is not a mission from God. Another is the idea of them pursuing careers you couldn’t. Let us endeavor to act as care-takers and care-givers on behalf of our Master, Jesus. We are to raise Soldiers for His end-time Army in the Marketplace and Pulpit and not puppets to act our scripts. He has a plan we should follow and not raise misfits for His program...
