Our girl is killing it! It’s not an easy transition going from middle school to high school that’s for sure. Many tears have been shed over this school year, but it n the end we all come together to support her, and at the end of the day she is shining bright. All of her teachers have been amazing over the years, and she always wins them over. Best of play to my two girls today. One is at her first scrimmage back from an ACL tear for her senior year. The challenge as a volleyparent we cannot be in two places at once. We will be with our 16 year freshman in her first official game as a collegiate player. And the story only gets more complicated as the season moves on as we will have the joy of balancing watching 3 incredible young people and their teams play. Thank goodness for live stats and live streaming as there will many times I will be watching more than 1 game at once. I thank in advance the phenomenal volleyparents that will text updates, cheer on, and sometimes even comfort our children when we cannot be there. But one thing I can say I know for sure, is my children know beyond a shadow of a doubt if my physical presence is not in attendance, my heart is always with them. Okay, here is my “Proud Mama” moment. She was so stressed during Spring semester. She shed many tears, but in the end it was worth it! She has had a few hiccups over the years but has managed to get Honor Roll certificates year after year. She’s ending her 8th grade year with a solid 4.0. I’ve literally cried everyday this week thinking about how it’s all coming to an end.
