i started off crocheting and it was absolutely a dick to learn how to knit and i still prefer crochet for specific things (flowers, some amigurumi, etc) but knitting is sooooo worth it and making the stitches is basically the same loop thing except you're using two sticks instead of one hook mostly i just think it's a lot prettier for glove things even though i still haven't finished any knitted THING despite having ten bazillion fingerless mitt patterns/scarves/blankets and shawls?? why?? because if i fuck up i will take the whole thing apart that's why i live in texas i cant use any of this ever man also i'm allergic to lanolin (wool oil) but wool is my fav hahahahaA especially single ply..fluffy...soft wool i hecked up real bad basically but you should definitely try pickin up knitting because knittinghelp has a reallly good beginner tutorial!!! it's where i learned to cast on quickly instead of taking 40 minutes everyone should learn to knit. learn to knit right now. you can even make needles out of dowels/chopsticks if you're willing to sandpaper and wax. enthrall your drunk friends by casting on while you aren't looking at your hands 10/10 works every time
