Since they are full on parallel from season 1 this season. I have a theory, what if they parallel Raven/Finn/Clarke. Except this time Clarke would actually get the guy. Season 1 Raven accused Finn of hesitating for the bomb while he didn't when Clarke was in danger. Finn then said "I love you" to Raven and she replied "Not the way that I want to be loved and not the way you love Clarke. It's over." What if we get a similar thing with Echo/Bellamy/Clarke this season, what do you think?
I actually think that they are going to go BEYOND a full on parallel with c/f/r and c/b/e into a resolution fo the princess mechanic conflict that has lasted SINCE c/f/r.Â
Itâs one of the reasons that I know c/b/e is ending. Because c/b/e parallels c/f/r, and raven doesnât forgive clarke, and chances are that she will bring up clarkeâs continuing tendency to make other girlâs boyfriends fall in love with her, because raven can be bitchy and sheâs already said stuff about bellamy and gina and clarke, and clarke never even MET gina. She wasnât there. Like it was a plot point.Â
and itâs back to being a plot point. even if c/b/e isnât contentious and echo bows out, itâs still going to feed ravenâs resentment of clarke. because she did it again. breaking up another couple. but clarke never did that. not with finn and raven and not with gina and bellamy. she stayed out of it as much as she could, or wasnât involved at all. same with b/e
and more. if raven reflects on it, sheâll come to realize that if there IS a parallel of c/b/e and c/f/r, itâs actually e/b/c. Echo is the new girl who gets the guy to fall for her, and Clarke is the old love who was left for dead. Clarke is not doing it again. Clarke is in Ravenâs place this time.Â
If we see a parallel of c/b/e and c/f/r, Iâm afraid itâs not going to be ABOUT c/b/e at all. I think it will be about RAVEN and princess mechanic. Because raven has always told clarke she was responsible and to do her job and to decide who lives or dies, and then sheâs angry at her when she is responsible and does her job and decides who lives and dies. And sheâs never forgiven Clarke for killing Finn, despite it being the best option left to them.Â
So.
Yes. There is a parallel and I think yes it will be important.
But in a whole crazy swerve to the shipping community, I donât think itâs going to be about the love triangle at all, but rather about Ravenâs redemption, her forgiveness of Clarke, and will be the final piece in bringing Clarke back into the family.
So honestly, when I saw Raven yelling at Clarke IN THE TRAILER, I nearly fell to my knees. PLEASE GIVE ME MY ANGRY PRINCESS MECHANIC RESOLUTION TO YEARS OF RESENTMENT.Â
