as a starter, Rasestral [dragon & sphere on the left] and Parallel Rasestral [dragon on the right]! [both it/its!]
[fun fact, "Rasestral" just means dragon! yes it was somehow unlazily lazy and named a dragon Dragon in a fake language it's still making up! btw "rase" is lizard/reptile/etc. you'll see why it brings this up.
it does promise naming rasestral "dragon" has significance though. actual character significance]
rasestral was a dragon! it lived on the edges of gamble galaxy. pre-orbening it was an old dragon, and rather wise. there was a bloodlust to it and Dragon Typical Arrogance but it didn't really act on that, preferring the calm stoicism
then the orbening happened. which was basically an attack on it where its draconic form and powers were locked away and it was de-powered significantly in the process of becoming an orb. oh and its wings were ripped to ribbons. of course <3
post-orbening [see why its called that now lol?] the bloodlust has gotten stronger, it's gotten a lot more paranoid and stressed, as well as frustrated and angry about being orbened. now it more strongly holds onto the title of "dragon" than before—if you've seen a certain post made by a beloved friend , its a running thing abt how it hates being nicknamed down to "lizard" or called a reptile such as, a gecko, because it feels highly demeaning to rasestral. which is unfortunately common. and! ever since the orbening rasestral has been on a mostly single-minded hunt for a way to undo the lock because it doesn't exactly want to be an orb
aaaand PARALLEL RASESTRAL! a far more recent character! originally designed up for the brush design challenge back in december but it really loved the design soooo . character now .
parallel rasestral shares rasestral's backstory mostly! old dragon [though notably more bloodthirsty!], attacked and de-powered, etc. however, pararase succeeded in regaining its old strength and form back. and now through a boiling of that fury, resentment and bloodlust, along with some unintended side effects of that re-powering, it goes around and hunts down those who "wronged it", and these sins carry down to any kin of theirs!
now, how can it tell who makes up these folks? well that's the fun bit! it can't! :]
bonus lore bit! Rasestral's Ability is ice, and it's a minor chronomage in that it can sliiightly slow something down every now n then and can tell when it has been hit by another chronomage's spell. Parallel Rasestral's Ability is esp, and it is an advanced chronomage, able to freeze small groups completely for a while :3
VERY IMPORTANT!!! both of these freaks have strabismus!!!!
unnamed fossil oc!! occasionally called "fossil" "fossal" "opal" etc. fossil might very well stay its name </3 its so good at naming things trust. [also it/its!]
member of a [sapient!] species of a now-extinct semiaquatic ancestor to beanbons! the leaves on their heads were kelp leaves. this one died as a result of failed predation; a massive chunk of its head was bitten out, which it somehow survived... for 37 hours before dying of infection. this was loosely based on how prehistoric critters like dinosaurs have been able to shrug off and survive some straight up bullshit at least for a while
it got opalised at some point, found and put in a museum at some point, and then! abruptly, mysteriously regained sapience and fucked right off. still toying with its everything but here are some loose bullet ideas it hasnt ironed out yet and things that dont warrant a paragraph dedicated to them:
perhaps rasestral coming into contact with the fossil awoke Fossil somehow?
if there are any other bits to its fossil floating around somewhere, if it comes into close proximity with them, they'll magnetise onto it. its how things like the tail and hands etc are staying in place
less about it specifically and more a worldbuilding thing but it gained legal personhood upon gaining sapience because . we have living weapons etc in these games . surely theres laws out there that can enshrine what was previously property like armour with living thing rights if it spontaneously becomes alive?
the green and red highlights in the eyesockets act like "pupils"

a cannibalistic barghest necromancer who specifically lures dragons away from their Trials, turning them to ghouls by doing so [because leaving the trial grounds causes the sickness gained by sitting near the wyrmwound to suddenly fester into making the unfortunate dragon a living breathing mobile Very Bad Disease vector], and then hunting them down n eating them to test its strength against the diseases that form and mutate inside these ghouls! they also are a very loving parent of, currently, four :]
