jervis is so wise! he’s a good friend. he always knows exactly what to say, except for when he doesn’t, and even then, whatever he settles on is pretty good. she’s glad he talks to her about things. jonathan talks to her about things, and eddie does, too, but it’s not the same. they can’t give advice like he can. (talking to jervis sometimes feels like talking to arnold wesker. and that’s– sad, and confusing. but sometimes talking to jervis just feels like talking to jervis! and that’s wonderful. because he’s wonderful!)

anyway, they’re talking. jervis has been locked up for a while, but harley only just got back today. she’s still sore from getting the crap beat out of her by you-know-who. such a jerk! she was only trying to win prizes at the carnival. it’s not her fault she didn’t have any tickets left and those places won’t just sell you a giant stuffed anthropomorphic s’more. she had to get creative!

by  which  he  means  literal  shadows,  as  it  is  rather  dark  in  the  room.   which  as  far  as  dramatics  go,  emphasizes  crowley’s  metaphor  quite  nicely,  and  aziraphale  has  to  have  SOME  grudging  respect  for  commitment.   but  it  certainly  doesn’t  stop  him  from  briskly  clapping  his  hands  together  and  flooding  the  room  with  light,  and  once  he  can  actually  see  crowley,  he  goes  to  them  without  hesitation.

As with most things in the Young household, Arthur Young’s word is law when it comes to food. He is a traditionalist in every sense, and so it’s to no one’s surprise that his palate is also best catered to with a conservative, good old English cuisine. 

Adam grew up eating Oxfordshire Skates for supper every Saturday, after his mother’s weekly trip to the farmer’s market. Sometimes his mum would mix leftover sausage into her savoury suet puddings but mostly she’d make sweet puddings with currants and sugar and lemon rind. Adam’s favorite is Banbury Cake because he loves choux pastry, and usually his special dessert request for Boxing Day.

Umm, rude much? All Jennifer did was politely point out how fucking lame it is that a twenty-something-old adult would dare to do something that she, a seventeen-year-old whose concept of fun involves others validating her at all times, doesn’t agree with. No need to act like a bitch, Mitch!
