America’s Exhibit

The exhibit spread out around her, flashes of red, white, and blue capturing Peggy’s eye at every small step she took. There was hardly this level of patriotism at his shows- much less in the war effort- as the exhibit tried to boast. And yet, it reminded her of better days, of fighting alongside the Captain and Commandos as they pushed back on Hydra’s offensive line.Â
Caught in her musings, she hardly noticed it when someone stepped up closer to her, reading from the same description she was. “Now that’s just rubbish,” she murmured, her eyes skimming over an inaccuracy. “They need better fact-checkers for these things.”
