Life with a newborn was exhausting but so wonderfully rewarding. Vera had been home with them for almost a full month now and the growth she’d had in that period was incredible to see. She was truly her own little person, with her own little personality. His kids thought the world of her, especially Ava who loved to sit on the sofa and hold her little sister, promising to dress her up like a princess soon enough. She was settling in nicely, loved by all and now it was almost time to go to Scotland for shooting of T2.
He’d be launching in to work within a day of landing so he’d done a lot of prep prior to the role. He’d put on weight considering the fact he’d expect Begbie would do in the slammer and he’d grown out his famous moustache. That one hadn’t been terribly popular with his wife but it was what it was and for around two months, that would be his signature look. He at least had a beard to go with it for now, sure that look was a little more favourable for his wife and when they landed in Scotland, he’d shave that off and leave himself with his moustache only. There was only one thing missing with his look and he knew he had to sort that out.
Dumb and Dumber didn’t want him to change his look because of filming with Once but he knew that he had to do it for the movie. Somehow they’d work around it for the show - it wasn’t as if they’d fire him over a hair cut, was it? - and he knew then the only other person who wouldn’t be pleased with him getting a haircut was Emilie. She’d told him many times how much she loved his hair, how much she didn’t want him to ever cut it but needs must and for the role of Begbie he knew he had to have it cut very short. Not a chance Begbie would let it grow out.
They needed to buy a few last things to take on the flight tomorrow for Vera - nappies, cream and other essentials - so he volunteered to go out and buy them so Emilie could finish packing Vera’s bag. It gave him an opportunity to go in to town, to go to the barbers and get a cut that he could surprise his wife with on his return home.
He also picked up a nice new book he knew she was interested in for the flight, partially to ease the blow of his hair cut when she saw him and was returning home soon enough to his wife and daughter. His other kids would be in Scotland in around a month, going there for their school holidays with their mother so it meant he and Em would get to spend time with them. They’d stay in Scotland for a couple of weeks after filming ended so he could do that without the responsibility of work, and also to catch up with some other friends based there. Then they’d return to Vancouver for the next season of Once and get their girl back settled in her home.
Entering their home and heading right to the kitchen he put the bag of things for Vera down on the side and moved to flick the kettle on to make a brew for them - another way of easing the blow when his wife inevitably saw his new do.

Felicity lay on the couch quietly texting her ex-husband. It had only been a couple days since the big blowout. She was tired and depressed, but she was trying her best. Theo was kindly letting her know that her things were being packed and shipped to her. That he didn’t want to see her and not to bother coming down to her shop. It wasn’t her shop anymore. She wondered if it ever really was. The building was in his name because it was a gift from him. She’d slowly started to realize that not much of anything in their marriage had actually been hers. It was startling. Her desk was going to be emptied and those things sent to her as well. She was pissed and in a mood to just shout at Theo. Just so you know we fucked there too. She wanted to say it. She wanted to pick a fight, but she didn’t. Depressed and angry wasn’t a good color on Felicity and she knew that. One of the things stopping her from doing anything stupid at the moment was the fact she had a sleeping three year old on her chest.
Conner was more than excited that Fel was staying with them now. His smiles and giggles definitely did brighten her mood at least a little. That afternoon they had lunch and then curled up on the couch to watch a movie. With a full tummy and a warm space to lie down Conner didn’t make it more than a couple minutes into the movie. Oliver wasn’t home. He was out. Out where? She didn’t know. Work? With his parents or Theo? She had no idea if Theo had even told their parents yet, but she also doubted that Oliver wanted to talk to his parents just yet. And Theo probably wasn’t going to open the door for either of them. Her phone lit up again with another text from Theo. Find a decent lawyer because I’m getting the papers drawn up and sent to you soon. Felicity had to hold in a frustrated sigh.
Music floated around the room; the soft sound of Mozart’s 41st symphony playing quietly off to the side as Rio stared down at his notes. He had gotten up at three AM, carefully untangling himself from his husband without waking him, which was no small feat, and headed downstairs to the studio with a baby monitor to work on his album. Something had been itching at his brain, but now that he was down there it had left him. Fingers pushed through sandy brown hair as stress mounted on him. Stress that was undue, of course. He had plenty of time to work on the album and record it before the deadline, but Rio was his hardest critic and he pressured himself to put out the best work he could. For his fans, and for his family. He had no idea how long he’d been down there, a while maybe, but he tapped away at the paper, trying to make sense of his own thoughts and get something decent out of them.
AJ hadn’t looked at herself in the mirror all day long. Maybe longer than that. All week would be the real number. It hasn’t been a pretty sight. The young Asian girl was fitted in her guilt, exhaustion, and damn near depression.
She wished that this wasn’t happening. She wished more than anything, now, that she had more time.
Making eye contact with the person she hated the most right now, herself, AJ sighed at her reflection. She was draped in her school colors. Her graduation robe to be exact.
That’s right. Today, AJ was leaving Bella Nova and San Diego behind for good. Or so she wanted to believe at least. But as she stared at herself the normal queasiness and dizzy spell kicked in promptly. She needed to throw up, but she needed to be strong. Her family was right in the other room waiting on her. If they heard her, they’d worry.
Lucky for AJ, she learned how to manage her morning sickness. Though it’s only been happening for well over two weeks now, the smart Asian girl kept track of her dizzy spells and exhaustion by jotting down when they happened. The one she was having, right now, was on schedule.
AJ closed her eyes and held her tummy as she took deep, slow, breaths. “Please don’t do this to me, not right now,” she whispered secretively between herself and the other person present. Well… Not present… But with her. “Please.”
Slowly but surely, the dizziness died down and AJ began swallowing thickly to calm herself and her sensitive nose.
"Anchalee? Are you ready?" Her father called from the living room of her apartment. "Do you need any help or anything?"
AJ continued staring at herself quietly and thoughtfully. She wanted to ask herself so many questions but lacked the time to find answers. Her eyes were piercing and darker, her hair shinier than before. She had “the glow” and maybe, just maybe, a little bit of her enjoyed looking at herself. Which was certainly why she didn’t do this. This is why she refused to look at herself.
"ANCHALEE?" Her father called again with more demand in his voice.
Shooting up from the bed instantly, AJ smoothed down her graduation gown and fixed the cap on her head. “I’m coming now,” She shouted back as she took one last look at herself. There was something different about her; something new. As much as she resented the truth, she hoped that all of this change remained the blessing without a curse.
TIME FRAME: The night between Tuesday and Wednesday, 15-16th of April, 2014
Cooper had had a hard day and night. A hard two weeks, actually. Saying goodbye had been hard. Leaving Silas.. harder. Having Jared being mad at him for leaving again.. coming close. But being away had made him realize a few things and he had had space to think. Maybe. Seeing people in claims and slavery, made him realize how much harder the real world were. And he'd been.. kind of stupid. Now, the guards was following him to his room and they left, as he locked himself inside. Castiel jumped up and down his legs and he greeted to dog, using a few minutes before stepping further inside. And there, on the couch, was Silas Anderson. And no matter how selfish and dumb it sounded, he was the most beautiful thing Cooper had ever seen. Curled up with a book open in his lap, still halfway sitting up, obviously having tried to keep himself awake. His hair was messy and he looked tired. Very tired. But it was beautiful to Cooper, cause he was here. And that mattered. He dumped down on the sofa and gently ran his hair through the younger's hair, smiling at himself. "Hi, love. I'm here. I'm back."
Silas had tried to stay up. He knew that Cooper would be home sometime soon, but around 11 sleep had overwhelmed him. He'd dreamt of coffee beans and books, not noticing when his brother came in the door or when Cas's warm body left his side to greet his master. Slowly he was pulled from his slumber and he blinked lazily, groaning a little as he stretched his sore neck, until he heard his brother's voice. His eyes flashed open as soon as he realized and a huge smile grew on his lips. "You came back" he whispered, pulling Cooper into his arms, tears of happiness burning at his eyes. "You're here? Really, Here?....I missed you. I missed you so much. So much happened while you were gone. Is everything alright? You're safe ? How was the flight?"
Cooper wrapped his arms tightly around Silas and pulled him a bit closer, not even trying to hold back his tears. It hadn't been very long, but it felt like it. Honestly. On the other hand, the exam changed them. They hadn't been fighting yet. It was nice. He liked not fighting. And now, back in Silas arms.. everything just felt perfect and complete. "Yes. I'm really here. I missed you too, Kitten. I'm alright. And safe. Flight was good. Let's get you to bed and you can tell me everything. How does that sound?" he mumbled, pressing a short kiss to the younger's neck - not for the sake of it being a kiss, but more for comfort and for realizing that this was real and happening. And that Silas was actually right here.
Silas nodded like a child, burrowing his face into Cooper's shoulder. "Okay...bed" he agreed, feeling small. Not in a bad way, but the way your mom can make you feel when she hugs you after a funeral. Like you're taken care of, like you don't have to hold it together, like you can curl and up and depend on someone else for a moment. "You Kitten" he whispered, almost automatically, his heart clenching as he could think of no one or anything other than the two of them and this moment. He slid off the couch and held Cooper's hand and arm tight as he followed to the bed.
Cooper somehow managed to lead Silas into the bedroom, holding his hand as tight as possible. He like this. And.. if everything went smoothly, he was going to see Silas everyday. Every night and every morning. Of course, he knew it was almost impossible and that it was his own fault, but part of him wanted to believe, how his brother would agree on this. Silas crawled to bed and Cooper kicked his shoes off. "Exactly," he mumbled with a small, but true and whole-hearted, smile. "Would my Kitten like to see what I bought back to him? I'll go find it in my suitcase and then I'll come cuddle you. Is that alright?"
Silas returned a pained smile. As much as the pet name filled his heart with joy it broke him to the same degree. He'd told his brother to never call him that again, but at the same time, there was nothing that was quite as comforting as hearing it. "You..you brought me something? Yes...yes that's fine...just...hurry. I missed you....hurry back to me" he said softly, bringing his knees up and hugging them as he watched the doorway, waiting for Cooper's return eagerly. He didn't care about the soveigner, his eyes just craved his brother's face.
Cooper nodded and left the room to go find all the things he brought back to Silas. Not even two minutes later, he climbed into bed beside Silas and wrapped an arm around the younger to pull him closer and to keep him safe. "I've missed you too. Endlessly," he mumbled, before finding one of the things he had for his brother. "I know this is not much, but I still think you should have it." he held out a leather bracelet. Very simple thing, but also very pretty. Could easily go to a male. He would have gone with a necklace, but with the other thing.. even if Silas was going to say no, he felt like the bracelet was better. "I swear, I tried to find Benedict Cumberbatch or whatever his name was, but he just so didn't happen to be in LA. There's.. other stuff. We can look at it later. But I have this.. one thing. It craves not being too sleepy. Think you can manage to stay awake to see what it is?"
Silas nuzzled into Cooper as soon as he returned, turning his head to breath in his brother's familiar and comforting scent. He kept his face burried until it became clear Cooper was holding something out for him. "Oh...it's beautiful...thank you" he said softly, turning to hug Cooper and then running his finger along the embossed leather, chuckling. "Yeah, it's alright. I dont think they'd let you bring him back in your carry on luggage anyways." Cooper's voice shook just slightly and Silas looked up to his face confused. "yeah...yeah I'm awake..you know you didn't have to bring me anything. I just missed you. I"m just happy you're back."
Cooper bit down his lip softly, but snuggled a bit up against his brother, then sighed. This suddenly didn't seem like a good idea. "I'm very happy to be back with you. Don't worry. I missed you too. This thing.." Cooper let go of Silas with his arm to grab his hand instead, linking their fingers together. "I'm not expecting you to agree, 'cause I know you don't- not like that. And I'm not saying you have to, not at all. But seeing the real world.. the difference between people.. and all those-" he cut himself off to find the collar, placing them on half Silas's leg, half his own. "I believe, I can take care of you. Be your dominant. Because.. I love you more than anything and want to protect you.. with my life. You're the thing that matters most to me. It doesn't have to be a romance, not unless you want it to be. And if you find someone you'd rather want, I won't be mad. Just.. I don't know.."
The more Cooper talked and struggled to find words the more confused Silas got. Agree? Agree to what? "Oh." Silas whispered, finally drawing his eyes from Cooper's lips to look down and see the collar he'd placed on their legs. Silas barely heard anything else Cooper said, because the beating of his heart in his ears was drowning out the world. A collar? He couldn't believe it, yet there it was, sitting there, half on his leg half on Coopers, like a perfect representation of a partnership, of something shared. He felt his eyes watering and he couldn't think or speak or do anything but stare at the now blurry circle on their laps. Was Cooper really offering him a claim? Was he offering him their future? Their one day? Their puppy at the foot of the bed and cafe with books? Their dream sat there, right there literally in his lap and Silas couldn't move. He could see it, he could seem them happy together in L.A., he knew Cooper would let him travel and have a job and would always love him and treat him perfectly, he wouldn't even really have to be a submissive. He could have what he'd wanted since the day he got to school, he could have his freedom. But somehow, it wasn't as appealing as it had once been and he wasn't sure why. "Wh...what exactly are you saying Coop?" he asked, still not able to stop staring at the collar that he very well might wear for the rest of his life.
Cooper somehow managed to bite his lip even harder. One day, it was probably going to fall off. "I'm saying, I want to claim you. I know things have changed.. that you probably won't want to anymore. But.. please consider it?" he sighed and closed his eyes, leaning against Silas. He felt tired. Very tired. Like he would just wait for a no and then go to sleep. Why would Silas want to be claimed by him? There were Wyatt and- hell, Cooper didn't even know anymore. It didn't matter. If Silas would end up without a claim, Cooper would follow him to the slave market and bid all his money, make sure to make him safe. But a claim.. he wanted that. With Silas. And he was prepared for the no, 'cause he'd been aware how possible it was. It didn't matter in the end. As long as Silas was happy.
"Cooper..I..." he swallowed hard and forced himself to look up and meet Cooper's gaze. As soon as he did he melted and tears flowed from his eyes. Without thinking he leaned over and kissed him, slowly but firmly. "...you are...the most amazing brother and...I love you...I really love you...this is...this is." he swallowed again, mouth falling open and closing over and over again as he tried to come up with words. His mind screamed 'say yes you fool' and but his heart seemed to be turning away from the whole thing. "I..." he sighed, he couldn't make a decsion, not now, not so out of the blue, not with how much he'd missed his brother and how lost he felt without him. Maybe he'd always be lost with out him. Maybe he should say yes because he'd never be able to feel the way he felt about cooper about anyone else. But one phase ate at him; /'it doesn't have to be a romance'/. That wasn't what Cooper wanted. He'd told Silas many times that he wanted a claim or to be claimed by a boyfriend, by someone that was his everything. "You...you don't want this Cooper... "
Cooper leaned in to kiss Silas's forehead. "Yes, it is. I wanted to claim someone I loved. And I love you. More than anything. Also romantically, but I'll be fine if that's not what you want. I know, I love you. And I know it's what I want. However, I'm not asking for it to be what you want. You have to do what feels right. You can think about it, if you'd like? Then come back to me when you know." he mumbled, picking up the collar and moving behind Silas, gently putting it around his neck, closing it. "However, I want you to keep it. No matter if you're going to say yes or no. I want you to have it. Because I love you. And you're the one I want to claim. No matter what I get from you, I get you. And no matter how I get you, it's perfect to me. Cause I love you."
Silas blinked, his mouth agape, still trying to process everything that was happening. Was Cooper really offering him time to think about it? Maybe he had changed. Maybe it could work. But yes. Time. Time seemed like a good idea. "I..time..time is a good idea. I'll-" he cut off as Cooper brought the collar up to his neck and he felt it click into place. He brought his hand up slowly and gently ran his fingers over the smooth leather. "Feels...exactly how I thought it would..." he muttered, lost in thought. He'd thought about getting claimed, about someone asking him and and saying yes, probably a lot like people thought about marriage proposals, but this was so out of the blue that he couldn't process it. "I...I love you...I...this is the sweetest thing...I...I don't know what to say..." he wrapped his arms around Cooper holding him tight. "I'll always keep it...no matter what we decide...because it's us...we'll decide, not just me, not just you...we will..." he liked that idea a lot. working together to figure things out. He laid back on the bed pulling Cooper down on top of him. "I'm so happy you're back...kiss me...please, please kiss your kitten."
Cooper ran his hand over the collar, over Silas's neck. It was like time wasn't there. And suddenly, he was pulled down on top of the other - and somehow, everything felt more happy and complete than ever. "You have all the time you want, love. I promise, this time, we won't rush it. I won't.." he mumbled. He focused on keeping his body up, on not putting too much weight on Silas. And on the collar. For him, it fitted perfectly and it made him so, so happy. "Yes- we will. I promise." he somehow managed to grab Silas's hand, causing him to fall a little closer to his brother. And at some point, he nodded. Pressed his lips to the submissive's. They hadn't kissed in forever and Silas's lips felt odd against his. Nice. Perfectly. But odd. Maybe because everything was different now.

Blaine liked the halls of McKinley, since he could now walk in the middle of the hall without being shoved into a locker. Unless, the person actually wanted to be beaten up. He had grown tired of being treated like shit, so now he was going to do it for others. He didn't exactly have any friends, why try and make new ones when he could just make people hate him?
He winked at a Cheerio as he boredly grabbed some books from his locker. He still went to lessons, even if he didn't do anything. It was mainly so he could sleep and reminisce about the old Blaine Anderson. The bowtie wearing, all singing all dancing boy who grew up too fast.
"Hey hot stuff" He flirted with a Cheerio as they walked past, another addition to his new persona. He was bi now, he didn't exactly like it but hey, it kept the Glee Club further away from him and that was how he liked it. He did wonder how Regionals went without him, but he wasn't going to walk up and ask.
Brittany didn’t know what to expect while she waited for Finn to come home from work. It wasn’t like her usual night off when he would come in and they’d have dinner together. No, tonight he was stopping at the store on his way and bringing home a pregnancy test. They’d been talking about having a baby for months, and trying since their honeymoon, but she didn’t really think it could happen this early. She didn’t know much about having babies. All she knew was that she wanted to have one with him and start a family with him. Once she’d started to feel sick for a few days, especially in the morning, Finn told her that he thought she might be pregnant, and she’d been a ball of excitement ever since. Curled up on the couch with Marshmallow in her lap and Leo on the floor, she looked down as the cat nudged her head against her stomach and meowed up at her, almost as if she knew Brittany was thinking that there was hopefully a baby growing inside of her. Running her hand over the cat's head, she smiled. “Don’t worry. You’ll still be one one of our babies.” All of them looked toward the front door when the sound of Finn’s truck coming up the drive and his headlights shone into the windows, and Brittany giggled softly. “Daddy’s home.”
WHAT? A long overdue discussion about making changes
EMMA SWAN:
With dinner finished and the dishes put away, Emma and Regina found themselves on the living room couch. When Regina sat, Emma instinctively scooted closer and stalled, suddenly feeling like a 12 year old boy, all limbs and clueless what to do with them. Would it be awkward if she... did she want… Biting her lip she stretched an arm around Regina’s shoulders, tentatively placing her other hand, unsure and unsteady, on Regina’s stomach. She gave her girlfriend a sheepish smile, hoping this was okay…
“I’m sorry I’ve been such an ass lately,” she blurted without preamble. “About… you know.” The hand on Regina’s stomach rubbed small, slow circles while the rest of Emma tried not to squirm. She wasn’t good at these sorts of conversations. The ones about feelings. Neither of them liked feeling exposed, though to Emma it seemed Regina had taken to it far more easily than she had. “I was… I am… worried. About how things will change.”
