Paper Perfection
Just like millions of people, I met someone who was perfect... on paper. He makes total sense. He smart, passionate, caring and handsome. Just being with him has me smiling. But the problem is just that a "but"
When I am away from him, I reflect on how good it is. How perfect it seems, yet every sentence ends in a but. I'm searching for an excuse. An excuse to withdraw, an excuse to protect, an excuse to numb and simply and excuse to leave.
Its a but what if he doesn't want me? But what if he leaves? and its a most distressingly enough, a but he's not him.
It's a impulse that scares me because how is that fair - to the guy and to me.
Because the "him" will never return and I'm really hoping that someday the "buts" stop coming.
